As of this moment it’s looking like #3 for the Jets ......they can get any pass rusher aside from Bosa or Jonah Williams if they want. Both would fill a major need ......Remember the top 5 positions for a championship team:

    QB ( Darnold )
    LT
    #1 WR
    EDGE
    #1 CB

This #3 pick can cross another off the list.

So, he could, like, slip a place or two... Just saying.

Yup. It’s almost like last year should have been an indicator that you don’t need to have the highest pick possible to get the best player for your team.

And free agency could solve Edge. Getting a #1 WR will be tricky as none are FA's next year and the possible draft picks will likely be taken before we pick in round 3. CB might have to wait.

I don't mean to be a jerk, but I hate it when people complain about the Jets winning some random late season game causing them to get "screwed over" in the next draft.

#1) somebody has to win these games. It's not like the Jets have beaten "all-world teams".

#2) I had proven in an earlier post that in the past 20 years the Jets record at the end of the year (when they have finished under 8-8) has statistically been worse at the end of the season (ie. the last 4-6 games) than they have at the beginning of these seasons.

#3) So the Jets start off at 3-3 and end up at 4-12 and someone has to complain about ONE win in the last 10 games? I knew it would happen, but (again not trying to be a d*ck) it's still mind boggling.

    4) The problem with the Jets is not a crappy draft positioning. It's because the front office, coaching staff, and players have under-performed.

I don’t think everything is going to be fixed in one off season but the Jets can do a lot if they play their cards right . I still hold a little hope Trumaine Johnson can straighten out and stay healthy but even so he’s approaching 30 soon if I’m not mistaken . The Jets can fix the pass rush in FA or the draft . LT would have to be the first round pick if they go that route this off season ...

#4 is spot on and getting that fixed is a hell of a lot more important than draft postitioning especially at the top of this upcoming draft .....and #3 empathizes this. The fact that the team lost 9 of their last 10 games !

I can't understand why the Jets can't have their quarterback play "lights out" every week and still lose every week. Then again I can't understand why I can't have my cake and eat it too.

It's amazing that when the QB plays well (assuming with help from his teammates) that sometimes that team will win.

    Sarcasm alert.

Why do people on this board keep insisting that we are going to sign some great passrusher in free agency? Any good passrusher would likely get tag by their team.

Didn't Lawrence get tagged last offseason?

I don’t really think “ #1 wr” is all that important. The dominant WRs aren’t winning a lot of ,if any, championships.

Historically championship teams have had a go to #1 WR. Think of Sam with a weapon like Hopkins or Brown......but yes not a lot of options this year.

Fowler is not getting tagged by the Rams. And I don't think the Texans can afford to tag Clowney. Now Dallas will prolly tag Lawrence, but that's 2 options that would fit in nice here.

Still think we end up going with Greedy Williams. Fills a major need and is slotted right around our pick.

I know Fowler won’t be tagged but I think if the Jets signed him specifically they should sign or draft another pass rusher ....

I think Clowney will get tagged - not sure about Lawrence .

He can be tagged again at $20.5 million. Dallas has around 50 million available so it's possible.

  20. Not that youre wrong but id asssume not watch the draft for the first time in 25 years than see them take a position they suck at drafting thats yet another pick dedicated to defense for a position that is already supposed to be the strength of the team.

2019 was spposed to be the year.what a crock. Wake me up in 2021
