I have some advise for you. Quit posting everything the pops into your head you just end up looking like a joke. But only read the first two words of the second sentence.
Retaining Mac just gives me this sinking feeling. We are near last in the NFL in players drafted still in the league during his tenure. Our offensive line is perhaps the worst in the league. Our owner appears clueless on the game of football. Kenny was a very talented QB. No he was not Marino but he was damn good in his own right. That said we had good weapons then, but our best reciever could not stay healthy. He took a ton of hits behind what I remember as not a great line. At least our defense had a pass rush in those days. Right now we don't have anything to support him on that side and are leaving a GM with a 4 year track record of not building the Oline and not drafting well period in charge of supplying the young man with talent to make the next step. My fear for hte new year is its 1984 all over again. We have a very talented young QB and Mac is going to scew this all up.
I hate this thread but unlike the Sanchez 2.0 thread it actually makes sense. Why am I a Jets fan again?
The difference is, sams more athletic and can avoid those hits Kenny took. Along with the fact that the qb is mostly off limits now a days I think we can expect better results than when Kenny was here. Hopefully we match the quality of weapons Kenny had though. Walker,McNeil,Toon and Shuler would thrive today
