Here's what I'm looking for (and hope I have it figured correctly) - it would give the Jets the number two draft position and knock the Pats down to the third seed: Texans, Niners and Raiders win. Jets tie New England. No other games matter.
Let’s say the most likely event happens and the Jets pick at #3... Would you trade that pick for Mike Evans?
On another (far inferior) Jet forum they mentioned Mike Evan's and TB's second rounder for the Jets first round pick. That might be interesting.
Need to root for the Giants , Tampa Bay, Chargers, and Baltimore to win Sunday. If 3 of the 4 win, we move ahead of the 49ers based on SOS. Of course if we win, that changes everything. Edit. Mistake , need Dallas to win not Giants.
Bart Scott on his show floated out Marcus Maye and our 3rd for Evans. We all know he is worth more but inheriting that contract (in Bart's mind) diminishes what teams will pay for him.
I like the Jets' chances there. Cowboys will rest starters against the Giants, Chargers will destroy Denver, and the Ravens should handle the Browns at home. The only wildcard is the TB vs ATL game which could go either way. Now if only the Cardinals can pull off some fluke miracle, my holidays will be complete
Actually it looks like they do need NYG to win for SOS tie breaker with 49ers. Dallas is only partially needed in the event that the Jets win and tie with Detroit, but it won't matter if both Baltimore and LAC win.
Oh yeah. Absolutely. If the Jets are in a position to blow the #1 overall pick they'll find away to pull off the impossible. Leo Williams will sack Brady 4 times.
Why would the bucs trade him? Only reason I can think of is they part ways with winston and want to move up for a qb. I dont know if the 3 pick would be enough for him
