Grading him on just him (Not draft order, not hype, not record) He is NOT the reason we lose every week. He’s a quality American football player. That’s it.
The P.I. In the end zone would have been the worst PI call of the season had the Saints Steelers game not happened.
Jamal couldn't single handedly stop Aaron Rodgers? Clearly he's trash, not a closer, LOL! I thought Bart Scott was referring to an edge rusher, meaning that's one of the biggest things the Jets need to close games, it wasn't a slight on Adams. The turning point of this game was Williams getting ejected. After that all of the pressure pretty much stopped and they couldn't stop the run. Henry Anderson was looking like a god until that moment. It makes you appreciate Williams a bit more. People forget how much pressure he creates for the other guys.
I've been quietly hoping he picked up a little injury so we could see how the D performed without him. Getting ejected was better. The D had more holes than a Swiss cheese as soon as he left the game.
He's overextending himself because no one else in the secondary seems to give a shit at this point. Nice of the OP to finally pop back in, btw.
Lol...sticks and stones. If i could only get paid for my analysis...I'm pretty sure Mel Kiper and Gm's all around the league who get paid millions of dollars have been wrong more times than me. I have always stated...I've been a fan since 90! I only want success for the team. I still stand firm on what i initially saw...regardless of his accomplishments and accolades. The few preseason games i saw had me concerned...he still is growing and if he continues to develop we may have a heck of a player for years to come. His game is far from complete nor did we select him to be a LB. We need picks and game changing plays from him.
Anyone, who at this point cannot acknowledge that Adams is a top safety in this league already - just doesn’t have much of a clue about American Football. The guy is an absolute stud. He also has the “it” factor and is a leader that sets apart the really special ones. I for one am happy we have another face of the franchise (beside Darnold) that can help deflect some of the spotlight off our young QB.
“Hey Rick, its your cousin Marvin,Marvin Astley! You know that president of football operations youve been talking about for the jets? Well give it about 12 years & get a load of this Jamal Adams”
He looks like the total package. If Darnold turns out to be as good at his position as Adams is at his man we're set.
Jamal Adams for future talent evaluator and Jets future GM ala just scouted and coveted Le'Veon Bell like a damn boss!! Jamal Adams not a franchise leader both on and off the football field? Says who what when how not?!?!?
