"The architects were tasked with designing a neutral stadium that would still embody the distinct personalities of both franchises. The Giants favored a traditional look of exposed steel framework and rusticated stone while the Jets wanted a sleek and modern look highlighted by metal and glass. With those features in mind the designers used the column/tower dynamic seen in many of Manhattan's skyscrapers as inspiration for the stadium's design." Translation: It's a dump. I'm glad that you remember that, though, haha.
Reposting: Included the 5-9 teams in case we do the inevitable and beat the Pack: Bucs over Dallas Bills over Pats (and fuck Tom Brady) Giants over Colts Jax over Miami Lions over Vikes Atlanta over Carolina 49ers over Bears (@SF) Cards over Rams (@AZ) Raiders over Denver (@Oak) Only hope is 9ers, Cards and Raiders all at home. But we gotta watch those sneaky ass Jags.
I hear ya but I’d rather see Darnold have a good game and beat Aaron Rodgers and the team finishes with 5 wins if they must . I think that’ll do more good in the long run then getting a #4 pick vs a #6 or whatever ....if the Jets aren’t going to have a chance at Bosa then it doesn’t matter. All of the talent in the top half of the draft is pretty equal this year ...
Can't complain with another good game from Darnold and falling short. I'd be mad if we were fighting for the playoffs.
And ANOTHER perfect game. Sam plays off the charts, 68% comp rate, 340 yards, 3 TDS no INTs, QB rating over 120. Led many scoring drives. McQuire, Robby, Herndon play great. Defense played well but killed by penalties ( lack of discipline), s return for a TD. And a loss. We hang on to our putrid record and draft status, Bowles clearly gone, future looks bright. GO JETS!!
Perfect result as far as I'm concerned - Darnold and the offense looks great, Bowles' and Rodgers' defense looks horrible, and if they want to blame the officials to feel better I don't give a damn. Root for Arizona, Oakland, and San Francisco today and tomorrow.
Cardinals ineptitude make them a lock for pick #1. Hopefully the Raiders will play tough enough not to shit the bed.
Yeah, I don't feel that way at all. All of those penalty yards weren't included in the 540 yards of offense the Packers got. I thought the defense was absolutely horrible, even if some of the calls were ticky-tacky. Edit: forgot the sack yardage
First half I thought the D looked pretty good at which point I started to root, well...you know. Buncha sacks, no shame in Rogers slicing you up. Still, a bunch of those drives were kept alive by the plethora of penalties.
Current AZ stats show a WR with the most passing yards, a QB with the most rushing yards and an RB with the most receiving yards. Totally dysfunctional!
According to tankathon the Jets have the worst strength of schedule . Does this mean if the Cards and Raiders both lose one more game the Jets pick #1 with a loss next week ??
