I think Jamal is covering his tracks and often says things out of both sides of his mouth. I wish he would talk less, but he's gaining clout. I posted it in another thread (I think the Jamal Adams one) that Bart Scott asked him in Adams' weekly spot if he would like to sit down with management to address/voice his opinions on some of the teams problems ==> "There's more problems in this building than Todd Bowles." I think he's running with that idea now. Just shut up a bit and don't feed Mehta while you're at it if you can help it. Not you, him. EDIT: He has pointed fingers at Todd Bowles without really doing it, but he was doing it.
But in these quotes he explicitly says only positive things about Bowles, and nothing positive about anyone else. You can say that you support the coach without saying that "it's phenomenal" playing for him, and "it ain't his fault." It sure as hell is his fault to some degree, and to me saying these things sends a very public message that wholesale changes are necessary everywhere except in the coach. All I can say is that I fervently hope that that view is not shared by the Johnsons.
Hopefully it's just Adams covering hi ass with the guy he has to have a working relationship with these last 2 games. If he really believes Bowles is a good coach, I'd like to see his Wonderlick.
I don’t think he wants to be seen as a guy who throws his HC under the bus. Not what a leader would do. He’s a really smart guy, he knows the deal.
Dr. Adams: “Hopefully, he stays. That would be my choice.’’ Mr. Hyde: “We’ve got to change this organization, man,’’
Bowles has probably been very good for Adams, imparting all his safety knowledge and in some ways he is right, the players go on the field to play, yes we have some CS fuck ups ie horrendous play calling. time out issues and such like but Bowles doesn't send them out to be offside before the play is snapped or for the CB not to turn his head and be done for PI or the fuckwits who hold time and time again, it is alright saying Bowles should drop them but drop them for what, there is nothing in the cupboard to fetch out to play, the reserves are just plain awful, hell, some of the starters are other teams third stringers. It is time he was gone, probably Mac also and I did like him but it is either go or another 3 years and that could well be a huge risk.
Fire this guy before next week and make a statement. It’s insane that a Bowles led team/defense let Rodgers and a bunch of 2nd and 3rd stringers shred this defense.
I don't know if this is true, but my son said that Bowles is now the only coach is NFL history to lose at least 10 games in three straight seasons.
I can’t remember a head coaching hire that was praised so much by the pundits to be such a complete dumpster fire as Bowles has been
Amazing that Bowles is bitching about the refereeing at the press conference. Maybe he should get in the ears of the refs during the game so he can at least try to influence the future.
