It's no coincidence that the Cards are a joke franchise again the season after Arians stepped down. He's a big-time coach and turns teams around quickly.

 

why couldn't we get a guy like that as Director of Football Operations (assuming he has genuinely retired from coaching)

 

It would be a great move IMO. The guy just lives football and seems to understand it at a different level than most. We can only hope Jets brass is smart enough to at least reach out to his camp. But smart and Jets brass almost never go hand in hand.

If I were Bowles, this is exactly what I'd be lobbying for. It might be the only way he gets to remain as HC.

 

I don't think him having pictures of a naked Woody Johnson with farm animals could save his job.

From my perspective he can lobby all he wants. No Director of Operations can overcome his massive incompetence. He will always be the biggest reason for our failure. He will not be a HC again in my view. If he is retained it will cement the absolute idiocy of our ownership.

 

Any football operations guy who kept Bowles should immediately lose his job. And his wife, car, kids and house. Merry Christmas.

With all due respect to all my esteemed TGG friends who think Mac should be fired for not getting Mahomes I'm LMAO. With what, the six pick? Mahomes was evaluated as a major prospect and graded a massive mistake at 10 by every single expert NFL analalyst. Mac would have been crucified and burned at the stake. Probably by over 90% of every one here.Hindsight is wonderful but Cleveland, Chicago, Jacksonville and many others including the Giants passed on him as well. The fact that he is currently blowing everyone out of the water is well, water under the bridge. Mac might eventually be replaced because of his whole body of work, bud do not assume for a second the Danrnold can not surpass Mahomes in the near future if we get a no shit HC and OC for once.

 

Mac had no problem ignoring the experts when he took Hack. Also Cleveland, Jacksonville, and the Giants all changed their front offices between the Mahomes pick and now.

 

None of that means crap. Hack was a second rounder, a far cry from the six pick, and a bad mistake at that. The point is the greater body of work by most expert missed him. And if it wasn't for a massive reach by Reid he could have fallen much lower. So great kudos to KC but that has fuck all to do with the six pick. It's time we stop the massive second guessing after the fact. We are fucking way over reaching with this one.
