That's not exactly true but there are several teams just behind us who are not set at QB. Bridgewater likely goes to one of them, Carr may too. Don't think he's the Guy Gruden wants going forward. Arizona has a ton of needs and could trade the first pick for a bunch of extra picks
I'd make that Bosa and Allen. I may be mistaken, but am pretty sure that Allen plays as standup 3-4 OLB.
Regarding Tankathon...just need Darnold to continue to play great. Two more games like the one he had over Houston. Wins and losses don't matter. I certainly won't complain about wins because we're starving for them in the Bowles era But 4-12 is in our best interest
I know Allen is rising but he lacks strength right now and is not in the same tier as Bosa. He definitely has the length and speed though
I don't think he's that far behind Bosa, and he's probably better in coverage and maybe against the run too.
I disagree. IMO, He's that far behind Bosa and unless he has a great combine, he's likely to go behind not only Bosa but also Sweat, Ferrell, Burns and possibly Polite, I think him and Polite are going to be graded very close.
Yeah . . . but if the Cheats flounder on Sunday, I want that win in Cheatette Stadium more than ever. I want it bad.
I'm not on the Bosa train...Just gives me that Brian Boz feeling...and that's too many "B" coincidences for me.
Allen is pure fools gold to me. He’s the next Aaron Maybin, nowhere near strong enough to be an NFL pass rusher. Sure he can add weight but his body type doesn’t really call for much weight to be supported. I’d be extremely disappointed if we end up with him after dealing with losing all season. I’d rather trade the pick.
Forget tankhaton dreams. Jets will crush the Packers and end up picking 6th again. Jets are the master of winning meaningless games and ruining draft position.
If Sam leads us there, it’s far from meaningless. And the difference between 3-6 in this draft is close to nothing.
I know the Packers have been bad this year and they are extra terrible on the road... but imagine what it would do mentally for a 21-year-old rookie QB to take down Aaron Rodgers and the Packers? I want that more than anything. That being said, if we win 9-3 and Sam stinks up the joint, that's a waste.
How did Allen look against some of the better SEC teams he faced? I only saw the Kentucky- Georgia game and he wasn’t very impactful, I think he recovered a fumble but I don’t remember a lot of pressure. That’s as close to NFL competition I’m figuring he faced but I didn’t see him in any other games. I’d be interested in how he looked against some of the better teams he faced. What’s your take on how he looked?
Stinks up the joint, what are you talking about. The POS Palace stinks all by itself, no help required. I can't find it, but I laughed so hard during the 2009 season at a headline I almost choked to death. Bart Scott (full back page, I do believe it was my favorite yellow rag, The New York Post): "This Stadium Sucks!" He couldn't hear the crowd noise. Why God, why, didn't I save that?!
I saw him play twice. I don't remember who it was, but he made a lot of plays in both games, got a sack or two, I think, but know he got good pressure and made a number of plays vs the run. I don't recall seeing him vs the pass, but may have missed those. I have read that he is very good against the pass.
I remember that. The crowd noise thing is a bit baffling as someone who is there almost every week... it gets loud even when it's 75% full. But it's hard to believe that a stadium built in 2009, when modern stadiums were going up around the league, could be so terrible. It's embarrassing.
