Sucks for him...he’s played alright and has been a good pick for where we got him Hopefully he’ll be back ready to compete in the offseason
Brandon Shell update: While the team hasn't released the specifics of his knee injury, there's confidence he will be able to participate in off-season workouts. Best-case scenario is a six-week recovery Cimini
For Bowles, it was too complicated to explain that Darnold had an ankle injury when was walking around in a boot all day. He's a simple guy. You can't expect him to understand super complex concepts like body parts or in game adjustments. They have amazing practices every week and they continue to improve. That's all he knows.
Jets right tackle Brandon Shell underwent surgery to repair his left knee on Thursday, according to head coach Todd Bowles. Shell had to be carted off the field during the Jets’ Week 15 loss to the Texans and the Jets placed the third-year pro on injured reserveWednesday. Obviously, that’s bad news for Shell. But the injury is not expected to keep him out of commission for very long; the Jets believe that he’ll take about six weeks to recover and are optimistic that he’ll be back well in time for spring practices. The specifics of the injury remain unclear, but Shell did not tear his ACL or MCL.
maybe it was how it happened - like he was coming down the stairs, or was it going up the stairs, and someone left a toy on the stairs, or was it a shoe, no it was toy, I think it was a toy car, hot wheels maybe, no wait, it was a transformer, but not sure if it was for the new bumblebee movie (which is pretty good) or one from the old Bay movies (not so good) or might even have been an old skool one, let me get back to you on that, I am now being told that it may have been an optimus prime but still waiting for confirmation on that, so yeah, he was on the stairs (either coming up or going down) and what happened was his wife or girlfriend or partner was calling to him about going to the store, or maybe his phone rang, I am not entirely clear on this, anyway he turned around and that is when he fell and so on and so on
That's good news.... watching it, I would've thought it was his ACL, but given a surgery with that recovery period it was probably a lateral meniscus tear, and they just trimmed out the damaged/torn piece.* *I'm not a doctor... but I did stay at a Holiday Inn express
