We'll have HFA in a few years after moving to England. Sit tight, it's coming.

For 3 hours once a week for 16 to 19 weeks you get to be jealous of Chiefs fans. For the other 165 hours they have to live in KC.

You got a point. I wish I could double like this. But Jets are my love and I want Metlife all green all the time when the Jets play.

I hear you. I gave up my Cardinals tickets this year. A couple of years ago when we were good the Seahawks came in and blew our doors off. In the 4th quarter there were literally 35000 Seahawks fans and maybe 2,000 Cardinal jersey's in the building. Pete Carroll was rolling up the score and leading cheers with Seahawk fans in the end zone. I can't tell you how much I hate Pete Carroll. I do grudgingly give him props for his coaching job this year. He's still a low life.

You'll be happy to know I wore my unofficial Jets Shirt that I bought in a Shoprite bin 15 years ago to the Jets Cardinal game in 16.

Not being funny but how does that work being a Jets fan but a season ticket holder for another team, do you just go to watch passively or do you actively cheer the Cardinals on.

I know you said you have given it up now but just wondered, the only way that would work with football over here is when you support a big team, ie Man City, Liverpool etc and go and watch your crappy hometown team in the lower leagues and some would even frown upon you for that behaviour lol

If the team is competitive we will have a top home field advantage. We always do when the team is good. Just look at the 02 Packers game, 02-03 Colts playoff game, the 09 Patriots game. Many other examples. A good Jets team means very loud crowd

Every stadium has transplants in it. I mean look at Miami they have 50% other cities fans EVERY WEEK

When the Jets moved from Shea Stadium to Giants Stadium in 1984, they left behind a large part of their fan base in the outer boroughs and Long Island. Some of those fans may still come to the game if the team is competitive, but with a bad team, there is no way too many are making the long and unfulfilling trek to the depressing swampland. As for MetLife Stadium, it has this soulless corporate look, which does not exactly give off a good time vibe.

I root hard for the Cardinals. If they play the jets in a future sb I’m rooting for the jets. Everyone in my former section rooted for the cards and grew up with another team. It’s hometown football. They rarely play or compete with each other.

Live football is fun. Life goes on.

I tried to root for the Broncos when I moved here. I always liked Elway, and I love their unis, especially the old ones featuring more orange and a medium blue. But after being here a short while and being surrounded/inundated with the "religion" of Broncomania, I went in the opposite direction. I don't openly hate them, or root against them, but I can't make myself join the masses and root for them either.

If I decide to stop rooting for the Jets - say because the Johnson Idiots decide to retain Bowles - I think I'll be done with football altogether. It's become too much like a video game played with humans instead of digital players, and that includes all levels of it from Pop Warner to the NFL. I loved playing it when I was a kid, but that was long ago, and many rule changes ago. I think I'm still following the Jets out of decades of momentum that's nearing its expiration. I'm hoping that they fire Bowles - and ideally Macc - and get people in here who finally know how to build a consistent winner, but if that doesn't happen, there isn't much left to root for.

An interesting stat, the Jets are second in attendance in 2018, just behind Dallas.

I was at Week 2 vs. Pats in 2009. One of the greatest games I ever went to. Metlife just isn't the same as the Old Meadowlands stadium. That being said, some games at Metlife had decent crowds in the Rex era. Hasn't been the same since Bowles. I think it will get better with winning, but it will never be arrowhead. These PSLs are trash and drive out the die hard fans. The worst part....the traffic on the way out. At least heading south, it's an absolute nightmare getting over the GW and the traffic is typical (not caused by the game).

Interesting that so many mention Arrowhead as the stadium they envy. Arrowhead and Giants Stadium were practically twins, layout-wise. While I was watching that game Thursday I kept thinking about how the Upper Deck in Arrowhead is closer to the field than the higher areas of MetLife's Mezzanine. Just like the seating bowl of the stadium we never thought we'd miss so much; GIANTS Stadium. The other stadium mentioned here, Seattle's, is like what we should have gotten. If we couldn't get a retractable roof, at least build something that offers some rain protection upstairs. That stadium is unique-looking. The other thought I had watching that games was that the KC fans will probably get screwed if they ever win another SB and the team decides they need a stadium palace of their own.

Unfortunately, that's the reality of it. It dinged them a little that people who still had time left on their PSLs in fairly pricey to pricey sections walked. The other thing that dings them infinitesimally is people who gave up their STHs in non-PSL sections that haven't yet been re-sold to new rubes. The last thing that dings them infinitesimally is PSLs on the secondary market, but I think it's the most substantial among the three. However, people who have done their homework will know a PSL really doesn't give you jack shit in the end except the right to transfer ownership. Fukk off. What.a pack of lies.

Still getting solicitation emails to attend games on an individual basis through the Jets. Kiss my ass. Why the F would I do THAT through the Jets?! Trying to get me to re-buy in as a STH has started to die down a little.

It's a dump. Shit engineering, a terrible design, a clueless owner, and the homey feel of a state prison.

The new Las Vegas stadium looks like it's going to be Amazing plus it's walking distance from the strip.
