hi guys, I know I have been gone for a little while, but I just wanted to tell you that Darnold looked pretty impressive against the Texans. Considering the fact that he doesn't have much help around him, I was impressed with how well he played and how his pocket presence has progressed thoughout the season. I can understand why so many of you are excited for the future, ESPECIALLY if you can get an innovative, young offensive coach who will be able to get the best out of young Mr. Darnold.

On an unrelated note, man the Pats seem to stink (by their standards) this year. Just dropped to 9-5 and scored only 10 points against a mediocre Steelers team that was imploding before this week. This is the worst Pats team I can remember Belichick having for some time.

Anyway, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays guys. I hope you all enjoy the holidays with your families. Have a good one, and good luck on landing a great new coach to replace Bowles.

Might be the most beatable Pats team since 2009. Happy Holidays to you too.

Thanks EnunwaFan, and I agree. Even the Pats fans over on Patsfans.com are saying that this is the worst Pats team since 2009. Brady and their offense looked awful against a bad Steelers defense today.

I live 20 min outside of boston, and the best thing this year is the hysteria pats nation has been having knowing their team is declining.

They can't even handle having a good team after all the greatness. Once they become bad you'll see all the bandwagoners jump off before a whole season.

    Happy holidays buddyryan46!

The chunks were rising, but the Cheats are now 9-5. I was anxiously awaiting flags on invisible penalties. Jim Nantz probably left the announcer's booth on a gurney to the ER for gargling too many Cheats balls.

We need KC to get that #1 seed.

As much as I'm rooting for Rivers if the Chargers get that #1 seed if New England makes it to the AFC Championship again it could be like a home game for them. The Chargers don't have a home field advantage in Los Angeles.

Hopefully the Pats fall to #4

That would make their likely road to the SB:
    vs LAC
    @ KC
    @ HOU/PIT

    Good luck with that.

There’s also a very delightful, though highly unlikely, scenario that’s still on the table.

    MIA: beat JAX, BUF
    NE: lose to BUF, NYJ
BAL: wins 1 of final 2 games...

    NE misses the playoffs

I have a hunch that if Miami and Buffalo win next week there won’t be too much angst in rooting for the Jets in week 17, draft position be damned. And Bills fans would be very conflicted for the game against Miami that week.

As of right now at least I’d prefer the Pats to stay at 3 as Baltimore has had their number in the past.

I’d rather the Pats win division and lose in playoff than Miami winning division. Pats are clearly on the decline with a 42 yr old Qb. I want the Jets to be next team to win division and that can happen as soon as next year with the right coaching hire and a solid offseason.

You shall inherit my kingdom if that were to happen. I'll even throw in our banged up Ford F150 Ranger rust box with 265,000 miles on it because I am a magnanimous Queen.

That aside, I dance on the graves of the homeless dead on this glorious Monday. 'The Boomtown Rats' need to re-write 'I Hate Mondays' because in this moment I revel in the Cheats' wounds. Belicheat pulled a brilliant move right before HT which made it impossible for Spittsburgh to kick a FG. All from some hump who claimed after Spygate that he didn't know the rules. LMAO. He knows the rules better than the rules themselves. I'm just glad that when the refs tried to throw in some freebies at the end they still lost. Spittsburgh made some gaffes, lucked out big time, and almost bit the big one, but guess what? Fukk you, Cheats. Where's that dual fan of the Cheats and Jets, Patriot? He's a decent enough poster, but there's something about that incestuous relationship that I just don't buy.

Anyway, I am so sick of seeing these assholes, but I'm gonna gloat until the Fat Lady sings.

Anyone who watched Sam's game Sat. nite saw some really nice plays from him. It seemed like almost every nice play happened after the play call broke down and Sam was forced to improvise...either by leaving the pocket and finding a receiver downfield or running the ball himself.

There was little to no support around him. Horrible play calling.

It's a shame that this coaching staff is incapable of designing a scheme around Sam Darnolds strengths.

We had no business being in that game at the end.

    100%

And when you think about it, Robby and Herndon were the two guys that kept working to find open seams to help keep the plays alive.

Sam's building serious chemistry with them.

Especially Robby--remember how many times early in the season Sam was over-throwing him?

Seems to have figured that out.

Can't wait till next year, a new system, hopefully better line play and another playmaker or two.

Sam is doing well with a collapsing pocket on most plays and receivers getting little separation, imagine giving
more time, better Receivers, and a scheme that has players "open"??:cool:

What is this "players open" thing of which you speak? I was not aware that this was an option for the team in green that plays in New Jersey.
