Per Twitter, the Jets path to No. 1 is to lose out, and the Cardinals and Raiders each win at least one of their remaining games. Possible, but not likely. Besides the fact that we probably have a shot against the Packers, Cards have Rams and Seahawks left, Raiders have Broncos and Chiefs left. I'd guess they each lose out, but maybe the Rams and Chiefs will rest some starters.
So Oakland faces Broncos then Chiefs Cards face Rams and Seahawks The Jets are in prime position to get the #2.
If we lose out and both AZ/OAK win a game, I wonder who would pick first. I'm not sure how the SOS would shake out in a 5-way tie with them and JAX/SF; did NE/GB losing help or hurt us in that regard?
Cardinals play the Rams and Seahawks; hard to see a win there. Raiders play the Broncos and the Chiefs; could see a win there for sure, except that they are so horrible and have clearly completely quit on Chucky (which is only fair, since he quit on them before the season started). Jaguars play the Dolphins and Texans; easy to see a win there, but hopefully it's against the Dolphins, not the Texans. Niners play the Bears and Rams; hard to see a win there, except that they've played really well the last couple of weeks. No problem rooting for wins in every case other than Jaguars-Texans.
Denver has lost two in a row; I can see them going into Oakland Monday night and losing. Probably also the last home game in Oakland...,ever. Side bets anyone? Arrests will exceed scoring total.
Highest probability is that both Oak and Zona lose out so we're most likely picking 3rd with a shot at #2. As long as we don't f*ck it up and beat GB which I have a weird feeling may happen. Please no.
Would have helped if Pack had found a way to win today. Instead they looked for much of the game like a team that didn't expect to win. And now they have nothing to play for next week.
The Jets really need Bosa and Lawrence. If Mac is drafting, Trading down to get additional picks is pointless. I’m not trading Bosa to pick up any second rounder who won’t be in the league in 2 years. Now, if we have a new GM, I might consider trading out for more picks.
My opinion will solidify on Willams v Bosa once I see the off season stuff. My stance right now is that Darnold, with one leg, can still run for his life and Bosa is a potential generational talent in my opinion. Bosa over Williams. Still want Lawrence and two pieces on the OL tho.
Bosa may be great, but this team has so many holes, especially on offense. They need as many picks as possible. Edge is supposed to be loaded in the draft while the pickings at OT are supposed to be thin. I prefer a trade down to get a 2nd rounder in 2019 to use on an Edge or WR.
