Against a Miami team that got brutally knocked out of the playoffs the week before and had their bags packed and tee times set. Not a defensive powerhouse like the Texans. Geno also posted a zero point zero. Like Blutarski.
He has had other good games though, so why make that comparison? Why are you comparing stats of a failed prospect to a prospect 15 games into his career?
Darnold went up against one of the better defenses and more then held his own. His offensive line did him no favors as Watt and crew had their way. Besides Robbie, Herndon and Cannon, he had NO help *hello Kearse, Matthews*... He has VERY good pocket awareness, this is something Geno and Sanchez never displayed. They had to have great oline play to even put up the stats Darnold had today. Get this man some weapons and a offensive line STAT!
Why don't you learn how to comprehend what you read first? It will go a LONG way in your life. [The whole thing started as someone - I'm not going to say who - said something in tune of "I hope today was enough to shut down this thread." I responded to that one. I wasn't talking about his body of work or anything. You can look it up yourself. In fact, do yourself a favor and find where I started. I even included a quote so you can't miss it.]
After seeing that Elite sports stats on the plays I thought I would check today. Now I included plays that were called back by penalty because they were actually called by the OC so there are more plays than the final stats. Shotgun: 13 runs 42 pass. Under center 14 runs 1 pass. Two total play action. Looking at this I think Darnold played lights out with what he was given. The 1 pass from under center was play action and went for 17 yards but was called back on a penalty.
Obviously it was referring to a body of work and not just one game. This is stupid thought process. You've essentially created an argument where you can use an entire body of work and the poster is limited to the performance of one game... and one of your arguments is it's only one game, but if darnold's season is brought up you say "oh, use your comprehension.. poster said after this game." Nobody is that dense. You're not smarter than anyone, and your definitely not outsmarting anybody.
I count this as his 5th "good" game of the season. @ Det, vs Den, vs Indy, @ Buf, vs Houston. First game against Miami was not horrible either. I think he's put enough on tape to be pretty optimistic at this point.
Not allowed. You can only refer to today's game with Sam, but feel free to cherry pick other QBs bodies of work. Bortles has had better ratings you know
After Sam, Robby Anderson is the closest thing we have to a “dynamic” playmaker and he looks like a high school kid out there. Dude needs to add 10+ pounds of muscle ASAP.
In his rookie year Sanchez was rumored to have been dating Hilary Rhoda. Are we seriously comparing Sam to Mark?
Good. There’s no way this guy should be let off the hook. We need this thread to live for a long time.
