I don't have any faith in Macc to get it right so our draft position is meaningless to me now. If we draft 6th? great.. 10th? great. I have a feeling its not gonna matter. Perhaps Macc goes BPA-O for the second time in his GM career, maybe not. Time will tell.
The players needed it though. You can't bring up a QB in a perpetually losing environment. Luckily with the Pats, Texans and Packers coming up, the chance of winning more is next to nothing. Plus the Raiders have a winnable game next week and for Falcons vs Cards, one of them has to win, so the Jets could still finish with the 2-3 pick, but 1 is extremely unlikely now with the remaining 49er schedule. And how on earth are the Falcons ahead of the Jets now?? They are really THAT bad? So much for Quinn and an elite QB. The Falcons are a once every 4 years team. Matt Ryan has to be the most over rated QB of all time, even more than Eli Manning.
But the Homers are giddy and that's all that matters...Besides, with Macc doing the drafting, does it really matter where we draft?
Yes, I say that it does. He can't draft a player that's already been drafted by another team. On the odd chance that Woody had ordered him to give Bowles the players he needs or that Mac felt some strange compulsion to do so in order to try to get along, that will now be removed. If there is a better-drafting Mac, then there's hope. While I still hope that he will be fired, I doubt it will happen, so he needs all the help he can get to make the right picks, and the team get the players it needs.

A perfect game. Yes, it would have been incredible for him to have led us on another game winning drive with 2 mins left but having conceded that? Well done. Hard fought loss, defense played great, Herndon, Robby, McGuire, looked great, even Cannon looked ok. And Sam was outstanding. Maintained our draft position whilst further ensuring Bowles and Bates are gone.
