I agree we need the 3rd pick or better. There's going to be at least 3 quarterbacks going in the top 15 picks. We can use the extra picks if we trade down. Zero chance the Jets beat the Bills next week.
Well said. Unfortunately, this nightmare of a season is going to leave us with one more unpleasant after-effect of the Darnold trade. The 2nd round pick we still owe Indy is going to almost be a late first rounder based on our draft position.
It’s not your opinions, it’s the comedic gold your idiocy lends us on a weekly basis. You’re like 10 clowns on any other forum.
I think the Packers sit Rodgers by the time they come here, so I think the Jets win this game. Think Oakland can beat the Bengals. I don't see any more wins for SF, so I think best case is #2 and worst case is #7 for the Jets.
Pat's will be playing their starters trying to get home field advantage. Want the Giants to lose a game, we still have the SOS and have to be sure Jax doesn't pass them in the draft. We're much more likely to get a trade with Jax than the Giants.
Can't see Rodgers sitting. He orchestrated McCarthy's firing. Gotta think he's going to want to prove he was right. Raiders definitely have a shot at another win and the 49ers may if the Rams have home field locked up and rest their starters. Ideally Pittsburgh beats the Patriots and Saints, That would give the Raiders another shot week 17 vs Chiefs resting players and put the Rams ahead of the Saints letting them rest starters too vs 49ers
That’s assuming you can get him at 5. It depends where is projected to go along with other left tackles. If we can get more picks of course it makes sense.
Not really. With two QB needy teams sitting behind us. Ideally we trade back with Jax, giving them choice of QB over the Giants. Plus we don't know what the blocking scheme will be, Little may be the LT of choice.
You're apparently operating under the assumption that the Jets are not a "quarterback needy team." That has not been determined to date.
The Jets just drafted Darnold, traded up to do so. The Jets are not a QB needy team. They could be in a year or two, but as of now. They aren't.
My opinion would be that if they could be in need of a quarterback in a year or two (barring career ending injury or other unforeseen circumstances), they are in need now. A team that is not quarterback needy is one that currently has a more than adequate performer on the roster. The Jets do not fit that criteria today.
Maybe not quite that bad but I can see 10-12 teams not reasonably satisfied with the healthy QBs they have today.
There are not many things I know will happen in the future. One thing I am sure of that won't happen in the future is the Jets will not draft a QB in the first round next year - except in the unlikely event that Darnold has a career-ending injury within the next four weeks. Ralebird, you can argue all you want - it just ain't happening.
