?

If Rosen and Darnold are gone, who would you pick with the 3rd pick?

  1. Mayfield

    63.2%
  2. Allen

    36.8%

What a roller coaster Allen is.
Buffalo fans are already turning against him...

Reminds me of some Jets fans on this site already calling Darnold a bust.

Bump because SGB asked for it. See my debate with SGB about the seam route that was really a fade.

My faith is still unwavered :)

Obviously with a raw rookie like this your going to be on the roller coaster. Or at least that's what I would have expected personally. I still think in time though he's going to be able to harness all or at least most of these massive abilities and be pretty good. And like I keep posting there is a legit chance he might be really good. Patience is definitely required though.

Allen has the most upside out of any QB in his draft class. The issue with him being selected by the Jets is this organization has not developed a QB since forever. Not to mention he's too boom or bust for my liking anyway.

Eventually Allen will have to stop running and start throwing. We'll see if he can, or he'll be gone in 5 years without much to show for it.

Same goes for Jackson. The funny thing is I knew Jackson would start out that way, but I had no idea Allen would do the same.

I have watched a bit of Jackson the past few weeks (since I picked up Gus Johnson in fantasy) and he throws a terrible ball. It doesn't seem like he has an NFL arm. I have heard scouts say he does have a good arm, so we'll see if he pans out, but Allen looks better than he does.

He has an arm to be sure, but has a ton of issues with his mechanics. When he's able to set and throw he can zing it, but it looked like he had a bit of trouble read the D in the NCAA game let alone the NFL. He is a epitome of boom or bust prospect that I thought needed a year or so to adjust and is being thrust into a rough situation.

Lamar still working out the kinks, but he's a far better play-maker and decision maker then Josh Allen. 3 wins in a row for the Ravens and they are averaging nearly 30 points a game, they also control the clock with him in the line-up. Lamar gonna be a stud in this league. In 2 years, Lamar will be a better QB then Baker. Said it during the draft process and I still stick to it this day. They need some receivers that mesh well with Lamar. Lamar scrambles to throw first, I watched the last 2 games, none of the receivers continue to move.

Baltimore isn't a rough situation, it's QB nirvana compared to here. Unless you're talking about Allen? Though even Buffalo's better than here.

Allen is better than I thought. Very athletic.

Never seen a guy run like he does as a QB in the open field. They should have won the game yesterday if not for Clay

I think both Buffalo and Baltimore were bad situations for a QB to come in and play this year. We were not much better it seems, but I thought we had a more passable Oline group, but Long's complete failure took a potential mediocre Oline and made it crap.

Allen and even more so Jackson needed time they really did not get. Both guys are all tools with no polish. Hopefully for them getting in too early does not ruin things.
