that's what I mean though - if we get the #2 spot then we have something to trade assuming Herbert goes into the draft with some wind behind him - anything lower and may be a lot harder to find a trade partner
I did I was sweating bullets till the end A win today does nothing It’s not like Darnold or Webb was out there Gotta think big picture But stay positive- the Jets will Win one more game to screw up the tank..
All you need is 2 or 3 quarterbacks to have a great combine. Jax, Giants, Bucs, Raiders, might need quarterbacks.
Totally agree. Best case scenario is trading down a bit and getting a 2nd round pick back. Maybe we can get more if Herbert is still on the board.
Jets will screw the tank up as well, doesn't matter anyway, this idiot organization can't draft worth a fuck, all the high #1 draft picks over the last 8yrs where's all the impact fame changing play makers ZILCH
I'm sure you did . (find it "very easy to root against the Jets"). Big picture? . Long term? . When's the last time the Patriots, or the Steelers or the Seahawks or a slew of other consistently successful teams have to "sweat bullets" so as to secure the #3 vs. e.g. the #5 pick? .
Yeah I was just thinking about how it may well make sense for the Jets to trade whatever draft pick they get. Multiple shots to improve their offensive line and find a big WR might be more valuable at this point and time than a #3 or whatever it is pick.
I mean wouldn't Jonah Williams at #3 be an awesome pick? Sure, we don't get to trade down and get multiple players but we got our LT that we need to build a good offensive line. There should be talent available in the 3rd round too.
Are you suggesting the Jets have had 49 straight losing seasons? Who are you kidding? Generally speaking you don't seem to get it let alone how the draft works as well. . Securing a #3 pick vs. a #5 pick does not move the needle for consistently in-the-hunt teams and will certainly not move the needle for this team as well. This team's CBs were a disaster today. This team's OL is sub-standard. This team's WR corp cannot get separation off press coverage. This team has several units in need of an upgrade - one player will not come close to sealing the leaks in this roster. This team's drafts lately have amounted to a bunch of fall-to-them 1st rounders, failed 2nd rounders and very checkered middle and late rounders thereafter. And on top of it all, this team's fanbase has trolls who root for their team to lose believing that the "#3"pick means all the difference in the world for this "one player away from greatness" team vs. the "#5" pick. .
The same trolls who were whooping and hollaring watching Braylon Edwards doing back flips after beating New England back in 1969. .
