Mccarthy molded Rodgers as a Rookie....thats all i give a shit about. He helped him become a franchise QB.Go look at his stats as a head coach before calling him Kotite. You sound ridiculous
Because we celebrate mediocrity/poor performances. We keep doing the same thing expecting different results. I believe thats the definition of insanity and I feel insane for giving this team years of support.
The Packers may be the only team in the NFL with accountability to their fans. They are a public company with over 360,000 stockholders many of them local's in a relatively small community. They are run by a board of directors, again a group representing the fans in a small town. They are a unique team where I suspect the board of directors all hear about the losing from their friends and family who are all season ticket holders. The Johnsons probably have never met a season ticket holder who paid for a ticket.
Someone, anyone, please show us how replacing Bowles and Bates during the bye week would have had a more deleterious effect on this team than maintaining the status quo. Actually, someone show us why they weren't gone last year during the bye week.
Now that it appears as though Bowles and Bates are losing the locker room, can they please be given their pink slips now?
Reports are that the Browns are already working on hiring Mcarthy. If he does go to the Browns, Mayfield is going to be in good hands.
Honestly it just looks like they will clean house with all of the staff. The fact that no one in house is getting a chance to interim leads me to believe this. So they will wait it out and everyone gets the deuces.
I'd take McCarthy as QB coach, NOT HC and NOT OC. His teams are very one-dimensional, they have no run / pass balance. In his 13 years there they've had 4 1,000 yd rushing seasons, 2 by Ryan Grant and 2 by Eddie Lacy. 1,000 yd seasons aren't anything special in a 16 game year. Pre McCarthy the Packers were known for extensive use of TE's in the passing game. Under McCarthy they rarely use the TE and haven't had a decent TE for an extended period of time since Donald Lee and that was 10+ years ago. Graham has done nothing. Anyone thinking he's HC material or even OC material needs to look at the packer stats during his tenure. It's pretty awful, this guy got very Lucky to have Aaron Rodgers.
This is the seminal fact of being a Jets fan. Whenever you say no one could be worse, Woody/Chris and their crack team of consultants will search hither and yon and actually hire someone who is worse, usually a lot worse.
No. I don't want to win another game. With Bowles, Bates and Rodgers still here, there's a great likelihood that we won't. Even though I think the rest are incompetent as well, it would be our luck that just having a new face at the helm might cause the team to win another game or two.
The losing culture that Bowles has allowed to take hold in this organization needs to be removed immediately. Waiting until the end of the season to do so sends the message that it will be tolerated to a certain degree. More harm than not is being done by allowing this to continue. This team is so poorly coached that no matter who replaces him will put our draft position in any danger. The losing mentality, though, needs to go.
Next week is the nail biter game. If they lose next week I don't see another win, especially with an interim coach evaluating talent in GB like what should be happening here now. Waiting to fire Bowles and not having someone holding players feet to the fire to see who wants to be here is a huge mistake.
