https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...ls-some-execs-believe-its-a-real-possibility/ "Bowles is virtually certain not to be back with the Jets next season, league sources said, with the organization poised to go in another direction to try to cultivate young quarterback Sam Darnold, and he remains a beloved figure with the Cardinals from his time as a defensive coordinator there."
I would love this and not like it if I could = Please just let this be true and this ass clown is gone , why he is still employed amazes me
Knowing our incompetent ownership, Chris Johnson will probably give him a three year extension today just to refute this story.
Your words are a bit harsh. Obviously, Bowles has not had success as the head coach. Looking into the Jets situation, I think is more the lack of talent than his coaching. Looking at the roster, there's very few pro bowl players on the team. I believe it's more about talent than coaching. The old saying "you can't make chicken salad out of chicken s**t" holds true for the Jets. It seems to me that Mccagan should be accountable.
They both should be accountable as IMO = Mccagnan is in way over his head---> As for my words I actually toned em down so IMO they are not harsh enough
I'll believe it when I see it.. IMO, Both Macc and Bowles should walk the plank. If Macc stays, that has to mean another extension for Casserly's protege since he won't be able to hire any HC worth a damn if he's a short timer himself.
Mccagan has been floundering for years. We had a franchise QB fall into out laps. Why in HELL do we get the QB without providing protection for the guy?
Yes, I have to agree....I'm not fan of McGag but the talent on this team is better than the record. Any mediocre coaching ability would resulted in wins in the Cleveland, Miami and Buffalo and a 6-5 record. Not to mention getting our FQB injured by running empty sets with a crippled center and Cameron Wake blowing through the OL.
Mac should stay hes done a decent job building this team and we are honestly 3-4 pieces on offense away from competing legitimately. He's done a good job rebuilding one of the worst defenses in the league and the lack of an offense has been the defenses primary downfall this season. I miss the days when we had a pure shutdown defense but those days are over (for us and the nfl) People give Mac a much harder time than he deserves,
But he has missed on too many picks in rounds 2-4 IMO. The offense has no game changers, the OL has been neglected, and there's little pass rush. The impact positions other than QB need to be upgraded and the fact that they haven't been in the last 4 years is a big indictment on Macc.
luckily there are 4 other rounds then the 3 you have mentioned. Also other quality teams have missed on these round also. No matter what when a team does poorly ont he w/l ratio people will always critique what wasn't done right. Overall he has done a good job and with a decent draft pick and money to spend he will continue to do a good job. With long/winters at guard Shell playing well at RT you honestly only need a 1 oline piece for toughening up this oline. Winters still has the ability to swap to center if we arent able to grab someone good enough to play center. You grab a legit WR threat in the draft pick up Bell or Draft a legit hb and this offense will look a shit ton different next year. Again Mac has done a much better job rebuilding this team than most people here will give him credit for.
Also to be clear im sick and tired of the buddy friend system that comes along with New GM's when it comes to coaching staff's. Mac has been here long enough that he wont be requiring his own staff building. Give Mac a contract so he isnt short term here and Coach's wont have the ill be fired with the GM with in 3 years feeling.
