If you recall, Joe Namath's 75th birthday was on May 27th. http://forums.theganggreen.com/threads/joe-namath-is-75.90672/ My phone autocorrected Joe Namath to Joey Nametags. Is that supposed to be like Vinny the Chin or something? What the frig.
I like your posts but not that one ...why don't stay on The Waterfront with Marlon for awhile it will do you good
I'm just messin' with ya. 'On the Waterfront' is one of my favorite movies of all time. I've lost count how many times I've seen it. I can quote the whole movie from beginning to end. Just like 'Spartacus' a/k/a 'Smartypants' (which is what we called it), but for different reasons. It has so many hilarious moments. Tony Curtis as Antoninus, the slave from Sicily given as a gift to Crassus. Good ole Antoninus, 'the singer of songs'. (Sir Laurence Olivier as Crassus): "For whom did you perform this wondrous task?" Antoninus (in a NY accent): "For da children of my masta, whom I also tawt da classics." We used to SCREAM at that. "Shhhh! Shhhh! Wait, here it comes!" You could hear a pin drop and then the shrieking would start. Then the other part where the Romans try to get it out of the slaves who was Spartacus and where he was. "I'm Smartypants!" "I'm Smartypants!" And then there's 'Ben Hur', probably the gayest motion picture of all time featuring one of my favorite actors, the inimitable Chuck Heston. I love him because he's terrible. 'El Cid' is also pretty up there. Chuck Heston, haha, there's just too many to list. EDIT & P.S.: Yes, only I would have this, haha . . . http://www.script-o-rama.com/movie_scripts/s/spartacus-script-transcript-kirk-douglas.html
Is it the 39,000th thread all time or just 39,000th on this version of TGG. What are we on the 4th version?
@Petrozza might answer better but the last thread on the last page is from 2006 and I know TGG was alive well before that.
There were two major crashes a long time ago. I think in one of them everything was completely lost. 2006 for sure.
Yeah... Green Guy and I joined way back in I think 2000 or just before. There's been several iterations of TGG.com since then and posts were lost in the early transistions.
Who remembers the countless Ty Law threads? Holy Shit, the moderators couldn't merge them fast enough. Me and plinko had a blast (I miss that guy, he was Asian and so dry and could be hilariously funny. He disappeared into the void : ( ). It devolved into 'The Island of Lost Souls' with Charles Laughton and Bela Lugosi: Dr. Moureau" "What is the law? Sayer of the Law: "Not to eat meat, that is the law. Are we not men?" Beasts (in unison): "Are we not men?" Dr. Moureau: "What is the law?" Sayer of the Law: "Not to go on all fours, that is the law. Are we not men?" Beasts (in unison): "Are we not men?" Dr. Moureau: "What is the law?" Sayer of the Law: "Not to spill blood, that is the law. Are we not men?" Beasts (in unison): "Are we not men?" plinko: "Are we not men? No, we are DEVO. Haha. Yes, you can guess who started the whole thing.
You shouldn't have edited that out. It was funnier that way. I am The Typo Queen of the Universe. I often leave mine because they're too incidentally stupid for words (I am NOT calling you stupid by any stretch, just so you know). My most recent stroke of genius was 'I always used to saw (sic say).' I reckon I was once employed as a lumberjack in Maine.
