Not that we needed any more ammo to fire him, but that decision to accept the penalty should get him fired at halftime. I mean at this point it’s pure incompetence. These are decision that high school coaches make without thinking about, let alone NFL coaches.
Shoulndt have kicked it to the end zone with that penalty and definaty should have declined that offensive PI to bring up 4th down, Stupid call. So done with Bowls
Yes u don’t know that. However, we all do know accepting it gives Brady a free play still in field goal range.
Bowles sucks but that was the right call. What’s more head scratching is kicking the ball into the end zone with the 15 yard penalty in effect.
Two problems withe that PAts TD: 1. Why accept the penalty and give Brady another shot? 2. Having done that, how do you allow Gronk open? Bowles is so far over his head that he'd get the bends if he ever rose to any level of competence.
Pats would throw for it 3rd and long, you gotta think you want your defense to force an incomplete or limit how many yards. Percentage has to favor defenses on 3rd and long. Execution didn't work though.
It’s sad that I like to see this offense look functional for the first time since the Colts game but also sad that I’m still hoping they find a way to lose. Life of a Jets fan
Most high school coaches don't even make that mistake. Definitely one of his dumber moves, and that's really saying something.
4th and 13 they play field position and pin Jets deep. Too close to midfield and would be a tough conversion.
