Great day fishing! Great weather too! I finally limited out on Porgy <50>. Kept 42, gave away 8 to my buds who didnt fare as well. This is gonna be a really good fall fishing season! Looking forward to Oct when it really begins..
Both! Autumn is my absolute favorite season of the year! Just bought some cider donuts and cider this morning from our local orchard! The early cider is the best because it's so tart. Absolutely crazy bumper crop of apples this year as well as pears, and the honey is killer. Do what I used to do: Tape/watch away games, when the Jets start blowing pineapple chunks, hit the woods. Turn on the car radio on the way home and either be pleasantly surprised or disgusted! Usually disgusted. GO JETS! @Cman60, which fish do you usually smoke? Cab't eat all that! Hint, hint, wink, wink. My address is . . .
Well, on Sat. 10/13, I'm headed back out for Sea Bass.. Gotta strike while the iron is hot as they say.
My brother is in town for the Jags "game".... I took off from work yest, as we had plans to fish later in the day, but 20kt winds and thunderstorms squashed that plan
was hoping to take the morning off and do some "flood tide" sight fishing tomorrow.... but rain and 15-20 kt wind forecast
Shit, hopefully not too serious anyway, just remembered I have a work meeting at 11 tomorrow morn anyway
Well, getting back to normal. Headed out Friday instead of Saturday. Had to bury my mom-in-law and plan a funeral in 4 days flat. Not easy by any stretch. Just need some time on the water to chill and get my head straight again.
Thanks man... Best thing now is to get back to normal. That's another reason why I'm getting back on the water. A little "me time" is good for the soul. My wife could use some alone time too.
Felt good to be back on the water. This incoming storm certainly had the fish skittish. Only 5 Seabass but 25 Porgy and 1 blue in the last 3hrs of the trip.
better to be out Yachting today than tomorrow !!! I just drained the gas cans ( filled the cars ) and reloading them in 10 minutes jussssssst in case the generator is needed
Last trip was pretty decent. 5 SeaBass, 25 Porgy made the trip worthwhile. First time I ever hit SeaBass with a diamond jig. Next trip perhaps the friday or Saturday before Turkey Day.
