I agree, but nothing else matters if pass protection breaks down right away. If there are no holes to run through.

This discussion of Sam Darnold one of the BEST QBs drafted is being run by Trolls

    Throw them out Brook..

A chorus line of very good QBS including the Mannings had interceptions and poor first years...

The real question is will Bowles and Bates make it to next weekend(I hope not) because if you cant see how they ruin talent you are just blind or didn't see today's game

To listen to that fool Bowles make his same excuses for the 29Th time gives me gas..Your in Miami ? go to Cuba ya bum

This is probably going to be the breaking point for the Bowls era. Protecting Sam and the O and blasting the D. He either doesn’t know what he’s looking at or doesn’t understand leadership.

In all honesty The way I see it this was a make it or break it game for Bowles. He should be fired after this performance.

Of course the defense played well they faced Osweiler.

Did they get any turnovers out of him? They were lucky he missed a wide open Amendola deep early in the game.

They'll probably play 'well' again next week if they face Peterman though a part of me fears he'll play his only 'good' career game against us.

I figured here. You know, after Bowles gets fired, the offensive minded head coach gets brought in, and the offense is rebuilt.

We've been waiting for an offense for quite a while.... My guess is in two years we are still right where we are today lol

We been waiting for offense for a lot longer then that. The Fitztragic season was an aberration. We’ve been all in on defense for a decade+ now.

Even the Johnson’s have to know it’s time.

no one is asking him to be a pro bowl quarterback or lead the team to the playoffs. we all know rookies will struggle and its a tough task when you lack talent around you. but i dont think it is some insane criticism or giant ask to want him to not lead the NFL in interceptions and complete more then 55% of his passes.

His footwork and pocket presence is extremely encouraging, but not much to like after that. super inaccurate, below avg arm, horrible decision maker.

I've already seen more out of Darnold at 21 than I saw out of Sanchez at 23. Darnold...his future is still unwritten. Nobody knows how he'll end up but I can say with some confidence it will be better than Sanchez. Eventually we'll give Darnold a line and weapons. Even Sanchez looked decent at times with those. Darnold will be good with those

Don't know regarding the picks. He may be a career high INT guy. He actually reminds me of Stafford year 1 who threw 20 in 10 games. Worse than Darnold

Umm yes he could. Darnold has been pretty bad, Geno at this point had already beaten New England, New Orleans, and won a road game in Atlanta.

Again what have you seen in Darnold? I see nothing more than a very shaky, inaccurate, poor decison making QB that has had a few good games, and has had some good passes from time to time.
