I just feel like this same roster, (average) with the patriots complete staff wins more. So to me, that’s coaching. But whatever.
For what it's worth, the offense also was without Enunwa, Pryor (cut this week) and lost Robbie Anderson during the game
Lost Powell, not Anderson. That’s arguably worse. Either way, I feel like I’ve said this in three different threads now, but how the hell can you go out there with a rookie quarterback missing his top two options on a windy day with heavy gusts and not design anything over the middle? Yes Sam missed a couple but that game plan was inexcusable.
my bad, Powell, I was thinking of when Robbie got hurt getting tangled up with Rhodes We need to get healthy FAST, cause next week is Khalil Mack and if we don't have our top players on their A-game, we are down before we even begin
I feel like the idea that every loss is on poor coaching is such a cop out when there are bigger problems. And that isnt to say that coaching might not be a problem, but it seems like every win is in spite of the coaching and every loss is due to coaching. This isnt even a Jets thing either, it is literally every fanbase. Every loss seems to be dumbed down to the coach and OC. The Jets shot themselves in the foot time after time after time after time. And even with that, they competed for a good portion of the game against a significantly better team. Jets need playmakers and offensive linemen.
Good. Who can I shoot in the back of the head first. Spencer Long? I like your thinking. Seriously though, if I ever see that guy, he better run for his life. His snaps to Sam started reminding me of Rob Lowe in that Austin Powers movie when Dr. Evil keeps hitting him in the face with that big beach ball globe until he starts crying. Haha, don't ask me why I made that mental connection, but after the 20th time of Sam getting a horrific snap, it happened.
I don’t disagree necessarily, but you have to account for the luxury that staff has. They can take a lot more chances and employ a lot of options teams like the Jets can’t because they are confident at least 90% of the time their HOF QB will pull things out for them. They don’t coach scared because they just aren’t.
Yup every single team in the NFL with the current exception right now of the Rams would have a better record with BB as head coach. Go figure.
A couple of more bad losses and as I predicted pre season the search will be on to replace Shoddy Toddy or hes demoted to DC while a temp Coach fills in May not complete the Season imo and we go the way of Chicago (replaced Fox with Nagy) or LA (replaced Fisher with McVeigh)
So gun to your head with the current Pats roster and you had to have a winning season or else who would want coaching them Bowles or BB??
Belichick. Gun to your head with Belichick at coach whose roster would you want him to have, our roster or theirs? Also, it's disingenuous to compare Bowles to Belichick because Belichick is the best coach in the league. That would be like comparing our roster to the Rams roster.
Easy Francis...you answered the question....and why cant I compare coaches? FTRMR If Bellichek had THIS roster there would actually be discipline and more players with their heads on straight without making STUPID plays that cause us to lose games...the game management, halftime adjustments would be no problem You talk as if BB just sits on his hands and lets his players Brady Gronk and Edelman go on automatic ..nothing could be further from the truth
Poor ownership GM still TBD Awful Coach No talent on offense - poor oline no good skill players, inaccurate/turnover prone rookie QB Not much talent on defense (at least considering how many #1 pick we used on that side) 3 wins is fortunate. didnt think we would get that for the year. this has all the looks f a 2-14 team.
