If they go 1-8 the rest of the way, that would be pretty shocking. That would likely mean splitting with Buffalo and losing every other game. I can see 3-6 or even 4-5 being more realistic. Perfect record to have a pick outside of the top 10.
I think Minnesota is better than Chicago, so I hope for less of a blowout, but I would still bet on the Bears and give the points (4 or 5, I imagine).
I see 2 wins down the road - 2x Jills and that's it. That's better than Peyton's 3-13 campaign. I'll take that.
We won't be beating anyone without NFL wide receivers, and 3rd stringers trying to cover NFL wide receivers ... and now maybe Powell out. It is what it is until we get some starters back.
Ah come on guys .......it’s not hopeless . We know it’s a rebuilding year but the Jets can win this game . It’s not the Rams, Chiefs, or Saints. And maybe some of the Jets injuries clear up in time ....... One thing I notice this year is usually a clunker is followed up by a a better effort ...
The schedule opens up a bit after this game though . The only games that are tough are the Pats twice and the Packers, which we could possibly take 1 of 3 games. It’s a 7-9 team maybe 8-8 but it’s not like anything’s really unexpected from the start of the season. I’m more curious whether the organization realizes that Bowles isn’t good enough to be our future HC or will get complacent and give him another contract.
It’s pretty crazy how week to week some posters are. Did people expect to beat a team that was just in the NFCCG and added a top 12 QB? We’re not there yet. The Bears are a lower quality team but it’s a road game which we’ve struggled with. I think our chances are decent if Tru and Skrine are back (anything to get 43 off the field). Can’t really make a prediction until I know who’s going to be out there for us.
We're going to get our ass beat. Sam has no one reliable on offense at the moment. Swear on everything if for some reason we are down, say, 21-6 at half... I put in McCown to keep Sam clean the rest of the game.
Chicago will win fairly easily. The young bears QB will have an easy day in the pocket and the jets will make like 4 or 5 dumbass mistakes, as usual.
Trubisky sort of stinks. Their entire offense is him running and creative play calls that are borderline trick plays. If they can force him to beat them from the pocket he won’t.
By doing that, don't you risk deflating Sam's confidence? If Sam starts, Sam finishes. Make the switch the following week if you must.
I really meant it more as legit just making sure he doesn't get hurt. He's going to remain the starter the ROS. I guess it doesn't make too much sense/overthinking the situation.
Even if totally healthy this game would be tough now with injuries on both sides of the ball and clueless coaching on top of that lets just say 3 - 5 looms
