Exactly what I expected on defense. Very disappointed in the offense.

Sam had a ca-ca game, receivers didn't do their job, Long is terrible, the Jets were gifted several opportunities that had nothing to do with getting raped by the refs, game close and winnable, still lose in crashing train wreck fashion. Typical. I would have preferred the Jets getting killed from the get go instead of it dragging on forever before it imploded. I'm just gonna emotionally detach. I know there's such a thing in therapy where you can divorce your parents. I can't recall where I heard that or why. Can I divorce the Jets?

Darnold had to fight for every point today. Having his best WR gone allowed the Minnesota CB's an easy job. And there is no f-ing way those guys should have dropped those two balls. As usual, defense did well till they ground down in the 3rd quarter. I guess it could have been worse.

welp = this game was only ever going to have one result - this is a pretty bad team against a good team - would have needed everything to go right to win it (and not a lot did) - zero surprises so cant even get that upset by it

What I take from this game, aside from heartburn, is that if the Vikings are a SB contender, it's quite possible that the Jets could add a few key players and be close. This game was winnable except for the poor play of several players who probably couldn't make the cut on any playoff team, as well as horrendous calls by the refs, and poor decisions by Bowles (not challenging several calls that should've been; giving up the wind in the 1st and 4th quarters). Darnold had a tough day, but he was under pressure all game, and his "receivers" dropped several key passes. Assuming Sam gets better - which he has steadily - and they upgrade the OL, pass rush, and skill positions - they can be dramatically better next year.

Either that or I'm just a delusional Jets fan.

also great to see the Jets, Bills and Phins all bending over backwards to hand the division to the Pats once again - FFS I cannot wait for that run to end - i mean to has to one day right?

Sam wasn’t good today but Jesus Christ, help the kid out. From the receivers to the coaches. Stop dropping passes and stop having him throw to the outside with the wind howling. Can we get a fucking screen pass? Would a slant kill us? Just awful all around.

Much as I hate to agree with legler, you really can’t blame the OC when you can’t even reliably snap the ball.

Indeed, the D played pretty well with backups...but the O looks bad. The OL is bad and I can think of one guy that we be a starter anywhere else.... maybe I am wrong but just my opinion. Mac better get some OL and a Fking C that can snap the ball consistently. Get OL and a Pass rusher and maybe another wr and we could be in good shape.

The Viks are starting to play well and they have better team period. No shame in losing to a better team even if the game was winnable. IMHO if our O from the last couple of weeks showed up we could have won....

Sam wasn't great but he is also a rookie QB going against a top NFL defense. To be honest, the game went as I expected. The Jets offense was a little worse, and the Jets defense allowed those 2 Murray run TD's, but besides that it was what I thought. Too many injuries plus lack of talent. I am not even disappointed or upset. Just need to move on.

    Some injuries? Lol

    Enunwa was out.
    Maye was out.
    Trumaine Johnson was out.
    Buster Skrine was out.
Terrell Pryor was cut because of an injury.
Crowell is playing with an injured foot.
Robbie Anderson is playing with a lingering injury.
Powell left game in 2nd quarter with injury.

I'd say, there were many reasons we lost this game, but our team is dealing with a pretty bad injury bug right now and it is impacting this team in a big way. Our entire starting secondary is essentially gone. We were limited to one running back the entire second half of the game, who was also questionable to play 2 days ago. We are now missing two receivers we've had all year, Enunwa and Pryor, one of which is now gone because of a groin tear. Our best receiver is dealing with a nagging injury that also had him on the questionable list earlier this week.

It's hard to point the blame at any one person right now when our team is this decimated.

I feel exactly the same way. Going in I predicted 36-13 Vikes. Not surprised at all. Not even pissed or disappointed. Can't beat that team playing with backups all over the place.

I got some heat for my comments on Marcus Maye but I'm telling you, some of these guys have to play through their injuries.

It's the NFL, mid season, you are gonna be banged up. Tape it up and play. What is Tru Johnson's injury? hurt pride from when he got torched in the Jaguars game?

I commend Crowell because he is playing hurt but I think those primadonnas on this defense could use a fire lit under their asses. I also think that might be why Pryor was cut. He was milking an injury in camp and it pissed them off and they are low on recievers and he starts milking another one...

I don't care what anyone says to me. IF we have a new head coach next season, miraculously, (or not so miraculously) there would be less injuries.

This offense lacks passes over the middle, seemingly every pass is outside the numbers.

Agree. Why can’t Maye play with a broken thumb?

Agreed with everything except don’t think he was under pressure all day. Oline held up well in pass protection today for the most part

You can change it for me to what you choose. If you can't I'll be back on here later today and you can just let me know what you chose.
