Week 7: Minnesota Vikings @ New York Jets

We are now 3-3 after beating the Colts. But a tough test awaits next week as the Vikings come into Met Life. Can the Jets win 3 straight before hitting the road?

 

My post seems a bit awkward since I didn't start this thread. Oh well.

 

Cousins is licking his chops after that game. Jets need to tighten up the D bigtime, since presumably the Vikings won't have their best receivers out.

But it's sure nice that this game arrives with no questions about whether losing out on Cousins was a disaster.

 

Eat up the clock and get some big rushing yards.

 

Vikings rookie cornerback Mike Hughes probably out for the season with an ACL tear.

 

Don’t turn the ball over and win field position.

Historically i don’t think cousins has ever been good at MetLife.

 

Not an impossible task the way the Vikes have looked so far.
Obviously we would need to put forth a good effort, limit penalties and TOs and catch a break or two.

Not going to go in expecting a win but will not be shocked if we do.
Just looking for effort and Darnold to keep growing as a qb.

 

Vikings WERE a joke at home against the Bill's though. Remember that? Better than Denver and Colts for sure, but not nearly as good as everyone claimed to start the season.

Let's hope our secondary gets healthy. Quickly.

 

Secondary didn't get healthier in terms of Marcus Maye - he left with a hand injury in the third quarter and was in a cast after the game. X-rays tomorrow.

 

Yep.....and Quincy also left with a boot from an ankle injury. Hope these are not serious.

 

Good job we didn't sign the bugger then. Historically, we've signed enough players who've never been any good at MetLife, don't need any more.

 

The Vikings probably win this game, but since we're at home you never know. The key is Darnold, he needs to be Detroit/Denver/Indy Darnold for us to win.

 

I had this as a loss before the season started.

Good news is Sam has seen better defenses. Bad news is the skill positions on the Vikings offense are far superior than anything the Jets have seen yet.

I’m okay with a close loss. I’d be ecstatic with a win.

 

Kirk Cousins playing in Met Life Stadium. Just like I wanted before Free Agency began..........

The Vikings are better than the Jets. We all know that. However, it is a home game. The Jets will definitely have a chance. Need to play mistake free football and get pressure on Cousins. Dalvin Cook will likely return, so need to find a way to stop him too.

Sheldon Richardson is a Viking too. He returns to Met Life for the first time since leaving the Jets. Should be fun.

 

Be surprised if Minny didn’t hit 40. Is Darnold good enough to win consecutive shootouts? I think it’s a steep ask

 

We’ve drafted more than a few with that quality too

 

Hopefully viks are looking past us to the saints game. And we shock them like buffalo did.

 

Nice that for a change, WE are the trap..

 

Tough task.

The Jets need to clean up a lot but it’s professional football, and they are at home. It’s possible.
