Wasn't sure if this would fit anywhere else, but we're being linked with trading for Chandler Jones. Boomer Esiason was the first to talk about it. Not sure if its really rumors or if Boomer is just talking randomly. Depending on how much we give up this could be a bargain move. But I still love the aggressiveness.
Dude has been very solid and consistent but 28 years old this is going in the wrong direction. If they somehow can get this done for a 4-5-6 or 7th or some miss used bum on this roster id be all in.
We have a long history of older players that were studs for other teams coming here to die. Im just saying i dont want to see a Mack type deal or anything close. Also he has had multiple double-digit sack seasons. I am not questioning his ability but he's already 28. Dont give up the farm
Mack is 27 lol. If Jones is available you make the trade, he's already under a 3 year deal thats 5M less than what Mack gets a year and puts up slightly less production than Mack
Hence why I said I don't want t see a Mack type deal. Bears Paid a serious premium for him and with the amount of help we need across the team we cant afford that type of mortgage
I would take him in a heartbeat.. IF we wouldn't need to break the bank to get him. He most definitely would be an upgrade for our DL, still couple of years of production left in him, no doubt.
I'd give up a 3rd and a 5th for Jones. We'd have a pass rush and keep our 1st to hopefully upgrade the OL.
Not against this move if the price is right. But what bothers me is we kept investing premium picks on defense yet nothing to show for it and we still need to trade for defense when we were supposed to save our resources to put an offensive team around Darnold.
Jones is definitely a very good player. My question is why would the Cardinals want to trade a player who had 17 sacks last season and has 4 in 5 games this season? Are they that loaded at edge rusher? I also have to wonder what the cost would be. I would think it would at least be a 1st round pick if not more for a premium edge rusher. If so, no thanks. I'd rather wait and sign someone in FA during the offseason. We need our 1st and 3rds to upgrade the offense, particularly the OL.

Mac is just trying to save his job if this is true, the whole building through the draft has not worked for him as he is going to field another 5-11 team. He sucks as a GM, I’m done with him and TB.
Not sure but they are bad and need youth. And btw he has a strip sack fumble which led to a Cards TD, just destroyed the LT.
