Spencer Long you cannot have this kid jumping three feet in the air to corral shitty snap after shitty snap

This kind of crap will come back and haunt us down the line when on a big late game play the ball sails 10 feet over Darnolds head and knocks us out of FG range

They must work on Longs snaps obsessively this week. It's all about timing and rhythm. You want Darnold to be focusing on what's happening in front of him not on jumping up to get the ball.

Overall our oline just grinded the shit out of Denver. But when it comes to pass blocking it's left a lot to be desired. When 4 balls gets batted down (all probably would've been completions) that's on them

Darnold also had his usual share of drops. Really he had the best 10 completion game I've ever seen from a QB.

Meh, not that worried about it. Long has been very good the first four weeks. Something was up yesterday. Pretty confident it won't be an issue going forward.

There were too many bad snaps for sure... the one in the RZ was so bad as soon as Sam caught it he was being sacked.

That said, this guy is a professional C who many teams wanted to pay pretty good in FA. I think it's easily corrected

Mason Crosby missed 4 FGs and an extra point. Shit happens.

I seen that and thought I wonder what the reaction on here would be if it was our kicker, shudders.

I wonder if they switched up blocking schemes for this game? The O-line was opening massive holes. Maybe threw him off. Just a thought.

Or could they have focused on him getting up out of the snap quicker? Similar cause and effect relationship.

it's been a rough year for kickers. minnesotas kicker got fird like 3 weeks in and cut. and boswell in pitt has been awful. meanwhile roasa for the giants who was the worst kicker last year, has been perfect this year so far and gano bombed a 63 yarder to beat the giants too. the kicking in the NFL this year is crazy

Well there was some warning signs with the Minnesota kicker. He finished the pre season off poorly but they stuck with him for some reason

yeah but crosby and boswell have been great kickers for many years so very surprising on their part. also the giants kicker being perfect so far was a shock since he was 66% last year. dead last in the NFL

Yea you have a point. Boswell especially. Pitt just sort of ass backwards fell into this guy and he was a reliable kicker for them for a few years. Suddenly it looks like his confidence is gone

He's really hurt me in fantasy football

kickers are odd that way. outside of guys like viniteri you'll see kickers do great then just lose it all of a sudden. and for all the jokes about nugent in the 2nd round and jankowski in the 1st, both are still in the league and kicking well meanwhile other kickers like crosby and boswell are costing their teams wins. and then you have gano kicking a 63 yarder to win the game (NFL record is 64 yards)
