Which is exactly why I never understood your valuing Bell over Mack. Mack would have changed this defense like no other player could. He is a hall of fame type generational talent.
I'm sure not blaming him! After all it was his effort that allowed him to get to the 1/2 yard line. Just disappointed that he didn't have a little left in his tank. But let's also not forget that even if he fell down in the Broncos EZ it would've been a great play, stopping them from getting any more points.
I lost my fantasy matchup by 5 points. I had the Jets D. How can a safety be that tired after a 103 yard run? Now I know how the Titans felt against the Rams. I also had Anderson on my bench.
Troll post/thread. Williams made it into the entire league's 25-under-25 by PFF last year IIRC. As others have said, he's a player at a position that rarely puts up big numbers surrounded by mediocre talent. When he was surrounded by other DL talent he put up vastly improved numbers because they couldn't double him all the time. I don't expect double-digit sacks from any 3-4 DE, much less one playing without an exceptionally strong pass-rush around him. Has he lived up to top-6 overall billing? Probably not. Is he still one of the best players on our roster? Yes, yes he is.
Gonna take a lot more than 1 game I saw many instances where he was ghost 1 on 1 But I hope I’m wrong I DO WANT to have him be great I really do
You make solid points. I still feel the conditioning on this team is lacking but I'm not gonna go crazy about it after yesterday. They won the game, Maye made the play.
No doubt about it. BUT These guys have to be ready to play 60 minutes plus if necessary. Poor conditioning cost Atlanta a Super Bowl title. After yesterday I'm not gonna make a big deal of it but I feel the way I feel. I hope it improves.
