the only way you'll be sold on them if they have the same performance against a top 5 rush d or what? 16th isn't that bad. I understand you don't wanna jump to conclusions, but it seems like you REALLY don't want to jump to conclusions

and you've been wrong for a while. Let's keep in mind this is the same GB defense that let a rusty Shawn Alexander go for a deuce the week before.

I think you misunderstood my post. I brought up the 16th in the league because GB is not a bad running defense, as alluded to by the ball hawk. Im incredibly pleased with Houston's performance, and have been in his corner since pre-season. Washington is a fantastic change of pace back, and i believe his future as an every down back won't be determined until the end of this year or possibly next year.

At the same time, didn't they win 2 SBs before he got there? I don't know if they even really needed him for the third one, he was a nice addition and was great for them in the regular season, but come the playoffs they won with Tom Brady's arm and the defense. I remember being really impressed with his performance in one playoff game though, he only average like 3 yards a carry, but he had something like 10 first downs. The thing was that average was pretty much exactly what he got each time.

You're better off taking care of the other needs of the team first, and then worrying about RB as a luxury afterwards. You can get by with decent RBs, they're pretty much a dime a dozen. When we take care of our OG and RT problems, get a better CB and another DE, then we can worry about the RB. Fortunately, that doesn't seem like it'd be too difficult to get this year. OG and RT can be had later on in the draft, CBs generally can contribute right away as can DEs, and we have an extra 2nd rounder. We'll probably go CB/DE first round and with the Redskins pick, and then maybe RB with the 2nd rounder. Then RT, then OG, then depth. I don't really think NT is the huge need people say it is, aside from D-Rob getting it (and truth be told, I think he is better for the 3-4 anyway, he wasn't really cutting it in the 4-3) we have what, 3 guys coming off the IR for next year? We'll have a solid rotation going at NT.

I think Houston could be a very good running back. The combination of him and Leon could be excellent. That being said, they did play the Packers. I think the rest of the games this season will give a good indication of what the Jets need to do int eh running back department.
