Wow! I was thinking the same thing about Nickerson. I know to play the position u have to be confident but not cocky costing the team. Too many players are trying to win with Jedi mind tricks instead of with their play.
On some level I understand and agree..That said this is a young team. Who out ranks him? I’d think he’d be the leader by default
This imright here is the problem I’d rather play a less talented player over a bombastic talented ssshole You need to teach discipline Pathetic
The issue we have is he talks too much and he isn’t a real great pass guy..it amazes me how the focus one way or another seems to be stopping the run in a pass happy lg..In the box safety’s in a pass happy league don’t make m heart beat faster..Their ultimately small failed linebackers ..by the logic we already have one-with the added bonus of gettin knocked out at bars and attempting to assault women- Sharon Lee
Ok, that's fair enough, but it's a talent driven league. So are you going to bench some of the little talent you do have and take a lot of heavy losses to make that point? Experience says you're going to get flamed each way no matter what you do when you lose. It's a luxury that an established and proven coach might be able to get away with, but not so much a first time HC of a struggling team.
It's the blind leading the blind. For some reason, I don't understand exactly why it is this way, under this regime a part of the fan base has come to believe that high draft pick = automatic cornerstone player or automatic leadership position. I was listening to wfan the other day one of the hosts said there is a portion of the Jets fan base that wouldn't be disappointed with the team finishing with a bad enough record to get more high draft picks. I thought that bringing in Richard Sherman would've been perfect for the Jets because of who he is, what he was a part of in Seattle with the Legion of Boom he would've commanded instant respect in the Jets locker room. Adams wants to lead that's good but without any pelts it's hollow talk. This defense was atrocious on Miami's last drive with a chance to get Darnold the ball back for a chance to tie and in the second half this week agaibst a rookie QB playing in his first NFL game. ATROCIOUS!!!!!!
I've been really resisting the blame Bowles Bowl. Now im wondering if he will play LB once Lee's contract is up? He sure is getting allot if practice...
I've hated the allusion from the start...i dont get its marketability or sustainability due to the drugs, violence, and crime in the movie. What are they saying? I wouldn't want children looking up to Nino Brown so why would i want to connect to him in any way. I guess its a hip hop thing where rappers refer to themselves as well known criminals/gangsters to market their persona. Regardless they need to rethink and realize that Nino eventually loses...just like we are losing.
Adams is a smart player with immense talent. He's tenacious, always improving, and desperately wanting to win. I like to see this level of anger and frustration over losing. I think he recognizes Bowles deficiencies and it's bothering him. We'll never truly take that next step until toilet is gone. Jamal is starting to see this now
I agree with warrior...its the blind leading the blind. He may have great qualities but what has he done yet? Solid yes...big time play maker...no. This may be part of the problem with buliding through the draft when your draftees dont become ovenight stars...e.g. Wilson, Kamara, Hunt, Mahomes...etc. We may need to bring in winners. How do these guys know what winning is all about in the nfl? There are 5 captains...and the fqb is not one? Im assuming someone will be traded, losing there C, or there will be 6 next year? And why isnt McGown a C if its all about leadership? 10 mill to tutor the fqb...isnt that leadership?
There are no guidlines that i know of. I just hope Bowles isnt trying to appease him...as some posters have pointed out Jamaal may be growing tired of his coaching style.
I guess this is the unofficial Jamal Adams thread. Check out @Michael_Nania’s Tweet: He has his ups and downs, but when he's good, he's really good.
He is just a young kid, he will only keep on improving season on season, so he runs his mouth off to much for most of our tastes but think that is more to do with the youth of today than anything else, he keeps on producing on the pitch then he can say what he wants lol
