I love Sam Darnold more than any Jet QB since Penny.

I’ve been watching Sam for 2 years. He was the one guy I wanted more than anyone. I was Suck For Sam for 2 Years.

But I also saw how good Baker was.

To the Jets defense, I think they traded up in the draft with the intent to get Mayfield, under the assumption that the Browns were going to take Darnold.

 

Sam is more accurate, has a quicker release, has more arm talent, is bigger.

But Baker is a damn good QB, notwithstanding some posters irrational hate for him.

Looks like we could have a 10 year rivalry.

 

What difference does it make? Jets never had a shot at Mayfield. Cleveland also had crazy momentum going with him coming in, them looking for that first win, etc. We'll see how Mayfield looks when he goes up against more competent teams who have time to prepare for him.

 

NFL knows this, they know Jets are the team to pick on for dramatics. They knew if the sorry ass browns didn't win their 1st two games put them up against the sorry ass jets on Thursday night and watch the drama unfold.
