    Now i understand...i thought a security blanket is who the qb throws to e.g. his rb when his route runners cant get open. Looking at the Patriots it seems like Brady dumps it off to his rb's allot. I guess i learned something new...thanks.

    He also is the guy that keeps your Qb from getting smashed. Be it a blitz pick up or a safety valve route coming back when the Qb is in trouble.

    Is it me or has Kearse looked like he's lost a step this season? He looks SLOW.

    He hasn't looked like he did last year.

    Kearse should be cut after the effort he gave against Miami. If he isn't out there giving 100% to help Darnold then he shouldn't be on the team.

    kearse has been awful the past 2 weeks. he isn't going to be around after this season. he'll be lucky to be in the NFL next year

    That's what I saw too. The drop on that WR screen was awful, quitting on routes and the worst was standing out of bounds catching the ball - terrible, just terrible effort...
