Oh I agree, the Jets havent had a QB capable of staging comebacks since before Pennington. I feel a lot more confident with Darnold than I would with them, I never felt confident they could come back from 3 score games.
Stop it, you're just trying to fit everything into a narrative. And if you think Sanchez wasn't getting praised in his first two years you weren't born in 2009.
Fair point. We won't know about Sam for at least a season. The one thing about those other QBs is you never thought they could put a team on their shoulders, and lead a team to a comeback or put a dagger in the other team to break them. If he shows glimpses of being able to do that by the end of the season (or before), I'll start to believe we might have our guy.
I knew we were going to take some Ls this season (as with any other) but I was really hoping we would back up that Monday night beat down by at least making this a game.
I wasn't talking about the play. That was obvious if you read the post to which I was responding. I was responding to the way Bates had the offense scripted to start the game, not rolling Sam out and calling plays to negate Miami's pass rush.
