The big difference between Sam vs Sanchez and especially Geno is that I have confidence he might still be able to win this game.
*sophomore He's less experienced than some people think, but his appeal has always been the potential if he cuts down on the mistakes.
Sanchez played with a watered-down gameplan, and his solid play didn't last beyond those first three games. Darnold's making mistakes, but he's not being spoonfed a conservative playbook and he's 32-47 passing so far.

Not saying he is a bust, but other Jets QB have done more in their first few games and received less praise. A lot of guys have anointed Darnold the franchise QB for the next 15 year and soon to be Super Bowl champ, I hope that happens, but my point is there have been other Jets QBs who have looked a lot better than Darnold through 2 games.
Obviously it's too early to tell if the way Sam is playing is indicative of unfixable issues, rookie kinks that need to be worked, out, or bad coaching. But not sound too pessimistic, when great QBs, such as Manning, Marino, Elway, Rogers, Roethesberger, and even Matt Ryan began their careers, they hit the ground running, and it was obvious from the moment they took the field that they would be franchise QBs. I can't think of any QBs who had question marks over them who amounted to much. I want to believe that Darnold is going to break that mold, but I'm just sayin'...
I was going to post the same comment. Instead of using that TO to get momentum back for the team he tries to get it all back with one play. Wouldn’t surprise me if Bowles parts ways with him at end of year. I though the new scheme bates uses, was going to emphasize the run like it did with Mike Shannahan?
Why the fuck does he keep fair catching inside the 10? Back in the day that was a pretty standard dont do it.
