So the narrative I have seen since Monday night is that he is back because he led a chant in Detroit at the end of the game. To me, fireman Ed being back is him leading chants throughout a hame ballgame.

Does anybody think this is gonna happen?

I think people are saying he will be back for Sunday and it will be officially announced that morning. Whether or not it's just for this game or from now on remains to be seen. Judging by what he's said in the past, he was willing to come back for "big" games. He might classify this as one of those. If I had to guess, he'll be back for this one game.

Love him or hate him, the chant is always better when he is there. And it is the best chant in sports especially when we are loud, which it will be on Sunday.

I don't know what "back" means or why anything has to be official. As a long time Jet fan I like to see him at the games whipping up spirit for the team. I don't know what he or the team needs to or should be making official announcements about it. If you see him there join the chant and buy him a beer. That's what I will do.

Fireman Ed was great as an amateur.

Once he turned pro he lost me as a fan.

There's nothing and no one that gets the stadium rocking than Fireman Ed doing that J E T S chant.. I'm hoping Ed is back for good!

I hope he does show up. Can’t wait to hear that cheer thunder through the crowd.

    Nobody does it better...

I'll never understand why some threads are moved out of the Jets forum and why some stay.

Fireman Ed thread? Move to Jets Experience forum.

One Jets Drive thread? It can stay.

    Please don't ban me...

Nah I agree. To me this is an important aspect to an upcoming huge home game. For some reason, he gets the crowd in a frenzy.

Lol. Nobody will ban you Acad. You are one of the great ones. :) I didn’t move this thread and I wouldn’t move it. But since this is already moved, I won’t move it back out of respect to the moderator/Admin who did it. That said, I like Ed and I hope he keeps doing this.

Wish our crowd didn't need a composer to do a cheer. How hard is it to know when the time is right? Regardless...

I hope the place is rocking. I hope we create sushi from the fish. I hope we are 2-0 by 4pm

    Go Jets!

So many “fans” hate this guy and frankly I don’t get it

    I think it’s jealousy.....

This is one of the best chants in sports, maybe only behind the braves / Seminole “chop”

Just enjoy the moment. Stop nitpicking the guy. It’s just a game.

I don’t see any of these other punk ass haters creating any positive energy so they can go suck it.

He should have never “quit” leading the chant but I get that he was sick of the bullshit from the low class fans

I was disappointed with the chant Sunday. I blame the results on the field more so than Ed because the team didn't provide enough chant moments. In fact, during one of them the scoreboard camera cut away from him just at the precise moment it needed to be on him. I guess even Ed's timing is a little off. There's some rust. Where the hell in the stadium was he anyway?

Ed is back full-time. Adam Gase requested it. Say what you want about the guy but there’s no denying the stadium is louder with him in it.
