Thanks for the radar Jay ,,, saves me the trouble of finding one later I will definitely be watching it tonight.
If you are on a computer find an image hosting site imgur.com or something else. Once you upload the picture get the URL address of the picture then post the link here.
She's losing gas, so your house should be fine as long it doesnt flood. Hopefully you made it as water resistant as you can. Good Luck
thanks sb....I agree but would I rather have a cat 3 storm that lasts 8 hours...or a cat 1 or 2 storm that lasts 36 hours....I would take the first one I THINK. Could be wrong. But thank you sir.
There may be some truth to that..... well in terms of rainfall potential. At least the storm surge will be cut down. (What's your base elevation?) be prepared to say adios to some of that vinyl siding. (and hopefully you have spome tarps / spare shingles handy)
looking for maps but cant find elevation. We are several miles from beach so ocean not a real problem...a mile from cape fear river...that, I doubt, will be an issue. Storm surge will not be an issue...2 feet of water will be. We got water halfway up driveway when that last 6 inch storm came through. Flooding will be problem. We are about 3 hours away from the rough stuff.
although there is a fence behind pool...all of those trees are ours. It goes back another 50 feet....this puppy will cost some $ to clean up.
You should have it from the survey when you bought your house Reading the rest, I hope you took some of the advice I posted earlier... the pics dont look like it
something I had forgotten about is that Jays area and much of the Carolinas is saturated from all of the rain they have gotten and it won't take much to take trees down,,,,,,,,,,be safe Jayster
