Thought so too. He apparently looked bad in practices. I am not sure he got much playing time in preseason either.
I was never a believer in this guy after injury. If a former 3rd round pick of an LT wasn't good enough to potentially protect Tom Brady's blind side through the eyes of Bill Belichick? Then imo he doesn't deserve to be trusted by any front office...
He wasn’t injured, he had an illness. Blood clots in his lungs. That’s why he was waived as quickly as he was by Belli and he obviously hasn’t regained his form.
Garcia w the Patriots & he w the jets are completely different animals.The Patriots have a man/gap blocking scheme Jets of course are running a zone. So health aside even if he wasnt right for NE doesnt automatically denounce his chances w the Jets

Played youth & 1 yr of HS before underlying health got in the way.Just have read & watched anything foootbsll,Jets & especially draft related from about age 7 on.Went to alot of Hoftstra TCs starting in 97 when i was 15 & when i got older i actually went there on vacation alone.So yes i have no life lol
I don’t get all the anger over this. Teams aren’t obliged to make waiver claims. Perhaps there was nobody there worth spending a claim on. And with other teams claiming the just moves the jets up in priority. This is really not a big deal guys.
Anyone have any info on whether or not let's say we claimed a player but another team claimed him first would we know that information ??
I find it funny and myself am ncluded in the crowd ... we focus so much on practice squad players, back end of the roster players. at the end of the day most of these players will never see the field. yet we spend so much time and energy on discussing those players.
It’s weird but true. I am still perplexed as to why Flowers didn’t make the PS and Luvu didn’t make the 53. You fall in love with some players in college but it’s a different game. It’s like when we all were rooting for that Hawaiian safety (can’t even remember his name now) who we brought in as an UDFA back in the day and he never made it out of camp.
