Right now NC in a state of emergency as it appears this is headed that way,,,but it still " could possibly " head out to sea (this is getting more unlikely ) or hit somewhere else or even turn NORTH !
Interesting patterns regarding the predicted strength of the storm. A bit less than half of the models have this only becoming a Cat 1 hurricane, or even remaining a tropical storm. A bit more than half, on the other hand, have it turning into a Cat 3 or even Cat 4 hurricane by next Tuesday, and staying that way possibly even until landfall in the Carolinas. That's quite a difference.
StatJeff, I don't know ? Seems that she is getting her act together now QUICKLY and I have seen some Mets who say she slightly weakens before hitting land many of themand they cannot explain that but she is still very strong at that point either a Cat 4 or Cat 5. I know from previous Hurricanes that it is hard for them to maintain that cat 4 or 5 status for sustained periods whether that is because they get over land or sheer this I do not understand yet still trying to learn. --------> But I try and take away weather stuff / info that guys have explained to me and Stinky said something that I never knew " the stronger the storm the more likely to be steered polewards " and if she's coming in strong towards the Carolinas = she most likely hooks North, AM I MISTAKEN STINKY or anyone else ? Still time for this to change but getting closer and looks like a landfall possibly OBX
Does that rule apply once a Hurricane interacts with land ? I mean could it still be steered North once it interacts with land ?
