Two first round picks AND a player? Yeah I’m perfectly fine with passing on that if that’s what the price tag was.

So we get to face him week 8. Another tough game added to that rough stretch....

    Absolutely agree.

Boy the Bears D is going to be nasty. They already have the weapons on offense as well. A Rob, Gabriel, Cohen, Howard and Burton. Nice group of weapons for a young QB.

Yeah that’s rough. That’s OVER market value. That’s why the Raiders had no choice but to trade him.

And this is why the Jets couldn’t make this move. The Jets’ roster is no where near contention ready.

Yeah as much as I wanted to complete that deal for him, I wouldn't want to give up a lot of future to do it, because we need to upgrade multiple positions yet, and already don't have a 2 next year.

Welp, I guess we roll with who we got, unless Mack can turn one of those 3rd round picks into Dante Fowler. Glad we didn't mortgage the future for an edge rusher when next year's draft class is loaded with them.

The Bears are delusional if they think they're near contention.

Rap is saying two firsts and a player is almost certainly the comp.

You're delusional if you don't think the Bears can fight for a wildcard spot. Their defense was already 8th in the league and now they added Mack? That D is going to be disgusting. The offense finally gets a competent mind to work with Burton, Howard, Cohen, A Rob and Taylor Gabriel. Nagy comes from the Andy Reid tree and clearly knows offense because Andy Reid gave up the playcalling duties to Nagy in KC last year from weeks 13 on. The Bears are going to be legit.

So as someone already mentioned, it looks like the compensation is definitely two first-round picks and a player. You just don’t give up that much for a non quarterback. I don’t care how elite to the player is.

We just got the young quarterback. When the Bears just got theirs, and he’s nowhere near the prospect ours is, they sat on it for a year before making big moves. I would expect us to do the same considering how much money we have.

Think Bosa or Gary will be a Jet come 2019 draft.

It is a lot for a player that can/will begin his decline currently or in the very near future. Im glad overall it wasnt us.

I don’t know that I’d call giving up two first round picks, plus a player, plus $23 million per year that great of an opportunity. We simply weren’t in the position to do it and honestly even if we were, I don’t know that I would want to.

We just made a huge move to go get our potential franchise quarterback. We are down three second round draft picks because of it, not that that’s a steep price but it’s the reality. We aren’t exactly loaded with draft capital right now. Giving up two first round picks in the next two years is borderline counterproductive.
