I keep seeing this take but I don't think it's a great one. Why would you not capitalize on the asset you have when you're guaranteed to capitalize on it?

Goddammit, love Teddy but there was no room for him here.

Hope he has a long and successful career.

This is the NFL. Some QB will get hurt and a team will be desperate. Why trade him so soon when he’d be worth so much more later? *scratch head*

We got a third back. This is absolutely a win. Perfectly played by Macc.

Because when a team that is a playoff caliber team is desperate, they will pay more. Look at Bradford going to the Vikings a few years ago.

So you'd rather bank on a QB going down on a team that is headed to the playoffs? No thanks. I'll take the third we got and run.

What a failure of a signing, finished his Jets career with the same overall stat line has Hackenburg :mad::mad:

I think he might've been able to get more, but as Harpua said, they have to get down to 53 and he would be taking up a roster spot. Still, I would've waited because I really think he could've brought at least a 2nd.

I am happy with a third. Thought it would be a 4th or 5th I am good with this.

That's a great piece of business. Essentially got a third round pick for nothing.

A 4th? Are you out of your mind? It better be a WHOLE lot better than an effing 4th.

If Hundley got a 6th then Teddy could have easily gone for a 4th. Luckily the Saints needed a backup and in a year or two, potentially a starter. 3rd is GREAT value for a guy that hasn't played in 2 years and you signed for a mil.

If some of the players feel that Bridgewater is the better chance for them to win but the GM and Coach want to play Sam it’ll cause a rift between the players. How is that concept hard to grasp?
