How many players had Brady played better than through 5 plus rounds? After the fact you think it means that 4 the round picks should have been picked at 20? Are all those who had Lee going in the teens dumb? How about those that lucked whoever as a 3 Rd or 4th round pick? Nothing better than talking about a draft after the fact, as a MMQB
This may well be true, but on the play in question Lee was destroyed and it did look like he was avoiding the big hit, trying to go around the blocker instead of taking him on. It was the very next play play after he gave up 15 yards on a horse collar penalty on special teams as well.
^ This is true. I don't recall the play myself but if Lee did in fact intentionally vacate the hole to avoid contact he's not wrong.
Any and every LB on the other side of the line. Amazes me that fans don't realize that every OC works hard to get that matchup. Or thinks this is telling. Football 101
One play is your answer? I bet I can find more than one Ray Lewis or whoever you want that vacated the whole. Then again, I have to f'n idea why someone would and wouldn't guess that they were avoiding contract. This is pretty funny. Especially a player who had over 90 tackles last season. Guess he sucks at vacating the hole
In case no one read or heard it here it is,,,,BTW I think that Lees remarks were classy and he at least stood there and took the questions that said I will not argue with Bart Scott on this one at all. If Lee makes strides and plays well and proves me and others wrong I will be happy that said I do not think this kid should be playing inside LB if at all but the bottom line at lest IMO is it just shows how bad our linebackers are , again maybe I'm wrong but I don't think so https://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2018/08/heres_what_jets_darron_lee_thinks_of_bart_scott_ri.html
I responded to a post that stated Lee had the 5th-7th best stats of every LB drafted the same year as him. He was a 1st round pick and 2nd, 3rd and 4th rounders are playing better. How in the fuck is me pointing that out in response to his post Monday Morning QBing? GTFOH with that shit
The same way it's ridiculous to point out that Brady was better than everyone drafted ahead of him and thinking it means something and isn't pointless. That's what the fuck it means. Came your ass Nancy. That Lee had fewer table than someone doesn't mean a thing is they re playing different lb spots. If you draft a player where he was supposed to go and another player is picked where he was supposed the whole point is meaningless
Now you're lying. How are "2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th & 7th rounders" etc playing "better than" Darron Lee? lol I guess you forgot the fact that Darron Lee ranks 7th in tackles amongst ALL defensive players drafted within 2016's draft class (regardless of position or round) and also ranked tied for 1st in sacks amongst all MLB's drafted. Please, explain... Oh wait... You can't. Because you're just lying.
i went back and looked at every player drafted after lee in the 1st round and it was all garbage except for 2 good WRs. We really couldn't have made a better pick then lee. nobody turned out better then him and the WRs we could have taken would have been good but obviously wasn't what we were looking to draft
Converted from safety to OLB at Ohio State. Convered from OLB to MLB in the NFL. Still built like a safety. You have to wonder what kind of effect this has had on his production. Is he still an outside linebacker playing out of position and could the team get more production from him at the outside position?
Lol, he called him 'plush'. He's right tho, the guy gets completely taken out by TE's and FB's on rushing plays, let alone Olineman. He's been horrendous against the run. It's time to think about using him in subpackages only.
Exactly. Not only that but he's also out performed a lot of the players who were drafted ahead of him such as Leonard Floyd (1st LB selected), Eli Apple and Vernon Hargreaves of Chicago, NYG & Tampa Bay who went 9th, 10th & 11th overall. Has out played Shaq Lawson who was drafted 1 pick ahead of him and also Sheldon Rankins and Karl Joseph who went 12th & 14th to New Orleans and Oakland etc. He's not the type of failure some make him out to be. He's worthy of his draft selection and it's a shame he's backing Steve McLendon and not playing behind Damon snacks Harrison as his run sniffing run stopping and run stuffing 3-4 NT. A damn shame.
And fk Bart Scott. The guy never even started until his 4th year in the league and was blessed to play under the shadows of a HOF MLB in Ray Lewis compared to Darron Lee who's been thrown into the NFL fire since a rookie with revolving teammates @ IMLB in Harris, Davis & now Williams. Proud of the way Darron Lee addressed that loud mouth Scott with nothing but class and self respect while being the bigger man although much younger.
OK, here is your post that I responded to if I was incorrect it was because you posted inaccurate information. Maybe if you took your time when posting, instead of just throwing shit against the wall to see what sticks, then you might have partially readable posts. I really think it is laughable you calling me a liar. You of the multitude of different user names, where you claimed you were about to be signed to a major rap label and make millions, among other ridiculous claims.
You seem to have a problem following a simple progression of posts. PhiLLy Stacks stated that Lee ranked 5th-7th statistically of all LBs drafted in 2016, my post pointed out that ranking 5th-7th would mean he ranked statistically lower than 2nd, 3rd or even 4th rounders. He made the post with the comparison, I responded, got it now?
Bart Scott was terrible his last 3 years, so he should shut up....just remember the wheel route 82 yard TD he gave up to the Pats, he was 5 yards behind the halfback
