    He is the one that is here now but Is he the one that lost out to Catanzaro the year before ?

    He looked good in all the preseason games but didn't get the job, sure he kicked a 55 yarder or something.

    ^This seems the only reason for the decision. Alas. He's a pretty solid kicker, and I'm going to try to get him in my fantasy draft. At least I'll have him there.

    edit: no, I passed on him and took Gostkowski (spits on the ground)

    I think K'OB was referring to the ex Duke kicker who did very well for the Jets the last two preseasons and was actually better than Catanzaro last preseason, but was still cut.
