You'd hope experience could allow this guy to develop some better instincts, looks like Minter will be getting on the field sooner rather then later. Lee had so many opportunities to make a play yesterday. Vernon Davis made him look like a bitch.
With some decent depth at ILB, wonder if it's possible he gets traded if he continues to look lost. Unlikely I'd say, but it's a thought I've had. I'm not sure Minter, Pierre-Louis, or even Hewitt wouldn't be as good or better
Like anything else with preseason's the 1st line players/starters can't be judged until it starts to count. These panic button pushers are taking these meaningless games too seriously.
it's not a panic button if you have seen the same thing for years. it's just an observation. he is just not good.
imo, from what I have seen from the last 2 games of pre-season, if everyone is so down on Lee, then why hasn't Leonard Williams been overlooked? He to me is the most disappointing player on that front 7. And I don't care what anybody says about 'pressure' sacks. He's not shown anything that indicates he was worth the pick the jets used on him.
The staff likes him, he's calling the defense now at the line (maybe due to familiarity) but that's where he's at until otherwise.
that's a very good point. Leonard Williams has been nearly invisible for a guy that is billed as the best player on the team. it doesn't make Darron Lee any less shitty, but still a good point.
