I wonder if they did any practice games with him, or if he's really this bad. Maybe he'll grow into it, but thankfully I don't watch MNF most weeks.
My point exactly. He took a shot it wasn't perfect nothing to lose and he gained 3 yards. No complaint.
Exactly. Nobody to throw to. It's 4th down so he has to throw it somewhere. If he throws it away it's the same as an INT.
First drive Sam juked the rush and threw the ball away, kept it third and manageable. Second drive he hit Roberts (?) on a beautiful skinny post. That 4th down play just looked awkward, not sure if it was just poor play design or somebody ran the wrong route... Can't blame Sam for throwing the ball up, gotta get it out on fourth down.
I would like to see more shots down field. Maybe its just not there... He looks fine though for his first start. Seems like he's processing info quickly and seems comfortable in the pocket for the most part.
Incredibly frustrating that we can’t fucking get off the field against Colt goddamn McCoy. Darnold has thrown what, 8 passes? TOP domination
Im finding very littlevpositives other than a few check down throws from Darnold. Gonna be a long year
he has no personality and less to say. looks like another ESPN failure. MNF is going to be brutal this year.
Good to see other teams' 3rd & 4th string receivers have a greater awareness of the yard sticks than our starters.
I'm pretty sure I'm rooting for the 7 yard seam that turns into a TD this play. Let's go 2 minute drill!
