Were you worried before we played Clevleand or was that a lock to win?

We are going into Lambeau in cold weather with playoffs a possibility. I wouldn't say I'm worried. A little anxious would be more accurate. Favre has been iconsistant and GB is a young team, but Favre is a different player in the cold and i believe he has a few great performances left in him.I just don't think we are a good enough team to think any of our remaining games are a lock to win, and as the weeks go by i will be more anxious about the games. That is what will make this next month of football so F'ing great, IMO.

Actually, i am way more relaxed about games with "good" teams. It's the should wins i worrie about, Our beloved
JETS have a long history of blowing the gimme games or should wins out their buts!

With Mangini at the helm, I'm not too worried about the easy wins anymore like I was back in the Herm days. I thought Cleveland was a lock and the Jets lost so you have a point. But the team is playing way better now and Green Bay is even worse than Cleveland. Favre can still do some stuff but he's one guy on a team full of shlubbs.

That's a bad mindset. Their is no easy game in this league, Cleveland was supposed to be "easy." Green Bay is a decent football team, and they have playmakers on both sides of the ball, gamebreakers. Favre-Driver-Jennings can be a gamechanging play. On defense KGB is one of the best pass rushers, D'Brick has another test, he can change a game with a strip sack...Charles Woodson has been solid, since he's healthy...

It won't be easy man, nothing like last week i'll tell you that much.

I think it's gonna be exactly like last week except the Jets will get more turnovers and will run the ball better. That's my prediction. We'll see what happens.

    From ESPN.com Page 2

    Jets (-1) over PACKERS
Confession time: I tagged along with Jimmy Kimmel when he made the Monday Night Football cameo in Seattle. He was Vince, his cousin Sal was Turtle, our friend Tall John was E, and I was either Johnny Drama or Ari. Anyway, if you think Brett Favre looks bad on TV, wait until you see him missing wide-open receivers and throwing to completely covered guys in person -- it's almost as shocking as seeing Michael Richards do a set at the Comedy Store. He's completely washed up -- and not even in an "aging gunslinger" kind of way, like Elway in the late '90s or Bird in the early '90s. He's just washed up. They absolutely could have won that game and didn't because of him. But I'm glad he's on the cover of Sports Illustrated this week. This is ouuuuuuuuur country.

Ahh, the memories of when we had a complete offense with a running game and everything. That was a cinderella story for the ages.

Now let's go into Lambeau and write the next chapter. This team will not underestimate GB. They should play them smartly.

LMAO this is also from that site:
    "BROWNS (+5) over Chiefs
When in doubt, take the points. Hey, aren't we long overdue for one of those "Herm Edwards's team blows the game in the final minute because he screwed up the clock" games?"

    That is classic.

I was a bit ambivalent about Herm leaving but not anymore!

Anyway, I hope our secondary has been working on catching wayward passes from Ramsey this week. They need to catch those passes thrown into triple coverage!

I like the Jets chances today..They are playing a little better each week which is what a well coached team will do from high school to the NFL and its obvious to anyone who knows football the Jets are an extremely well coached bunch.

as always, this game depends on Pennington. If he plays good, we win. If he plays bad, we lose.

    Pretty Simple.

I think we are going to have to find some kind of running game today to help Penny out.

Have a bad feeling about this game ...

Our running game is still a major concern and this will be a cold weather game in a hostile environment (lambeau). Penny's arm strength becomes a bit more of a factor in a game like this. They will dare him to beat them and stack the box. If the conditions effect his performance, he will as ususal, get frustrated and come out of his game. If we lose this game it will not be because of "Vicodin Favre" it will be because we dont score more than 10 points. We will need at least 20 to win it, write it down.

PS: I think this is the week we see a large Brad Smith package, this would be the perfect time and he's had enough time to get the offense down. By large I mean 5-10 plays from the backfield.

I'm more worried about Penningtons arm in the cold then Favre's.

Ya Pennington might have some trouble. If so he needs the surrounding players to step up. Need a great game from the defence.

    WOW!!!!
I think that was the official end to the mystique of the "Frozen Tundra" and Favre in the cold. At the hands of the NY JETS!:rofl2:
That was sweet. We might of knocked ol' Brett into retirement.
