cmon, gotta be florida, noone wants a rematch...wolverines, you had your shot, now its florida's turn...the SEC is superior to the big 10 (11) from top to bottom, and as much as i hate florida (being a shamecocks fan), they deserve the shot
The problem here is that people are voting to go against a rematch instead of actually voting for which team is truly the #2. Everyone who watches college football says that Michigan is better than Florida. Yet they can't vote because they don't like a rematch. That is the Biggest amout of BS. The game is against #1 & #2 no Matter if they played in the Reg season. To penalize Michigan for scoring 39 pts in Ohio st. and falling 3 pts short is a total slap in the face.
And who is to say that everyone would be right that Michigan is better than Florida, everyone thought that USC would win today, that USC would win the NC, etc. Florida won its conference which was the toughest in the country, and had a tougher schedule than Mich, what does Mich have to hold its hat on, and having a "moral" victory against a rival that has owned them for years now. Mich will get in because of their name not their resume
Hah! That was no upset. UCLA played outstanding football. And earned that win. Iv'e seen like 3 UCLA games all year but I know they earned that victory. USC didn't give UCLA the win. UCLA dominated.
Huh? I gave you plenty of reason, give me one good reason why Mich should get in over Florida, and spare me the hypothetical BS.
but if Ohio State loses, how can you say with a straight face Michigan is the National Champ when they will finish with identical records and their only losses are against each other? I am all for a rematch, but if Michigan wins they should split the National Championship. that would be fitting.
It's not even close, it should be UF vs. OSU. Michigan played a creampuff sched in a terrible conference. They had 2 wins over ranked teasm and BOTH teams are overrated. Wisconsin hasn't beaten a quality team all year but feasted on bad Big 10 teams to get their ranking. The big knock on UF is they idn't win impressively enough over certain teams well what about Mich who struggled w/ Northwestern, Penn State, Iowa and BALL STATE! meanwhile UF won the toughest conf in the Country AND an extra game w/ the conf title game. They beat top 10 teams in Arkansas, LSU and a top 20 UT team. Oh that's right Mich played a "CLOSE GAME" AT OSU A close game that OSU controlled from the moment they tied it at 7. OSU was up double digits a good portion of the game and Mich never had a chance to tie or take the lead in the 4th qtr PLUS OSU had 3 key TOs to NONE for Mich and they still didn't have a chance to tie or take the lead. Michigan had their chance against OSU and they lost, their schedule dosn't dictate that they should get another chance ahead of UF even in an incredibly down year for CFB.
Florida is 3 missed FGs by South Carolina from being out of the entire conversation, an UNRANKED team. That win right there I think is going to hurt them in the BCS, beating an unranked team by 1 point via 3 missed FGs(2 blocked?) Michigan went on the road in one of the most hostile environments in college football and lost by 3. On a neutral site, I think Michigan would win it. Writers will vote for Michigan. Coaches will vote for Florida. BCS will barely have Michigan over Florida.
They didn't beat Ball on 3 MISSED FIELD GOALS. OSU beat Illinois 14-10? Yes teams have their bad games, but Michigan didn't trail that entire game... I'm saying, that 1 point win by Florida on 3 missed FGs will keep them from playing Ohio State. Had they beat South Carolina convincingly, say 14 points, then they would play OSU. But that 1 point win will put Michigan in there, it's that close.
And Ball State isn't in the same league as South Carolina, so you are telling me you will ignore the fact that Florida played the toughest schedule in the country, and had to play the extra game, and actually won their conference which was much better than the Big Ten, because Florida won a close game??? The case for Michigan is weak, I still want just one fact that puts Michigan in over Florida from the Michigan supporters.
