Apprantly we have a new Jets NFL gospel in the making. Behold. "The Maras are football royalty, the Giants FO bleeds draft knowledge. The Jets are forever stupid for not tanking for the number one pick. The Giants are brilliant for passing up on Darnold. The Jets are stupid for almost missing out on Darnold". What the hell is wrong with this picture? Could it simply be a matter of the Giants committing to Eli for 2-3 more years and no good prospect period, was going to be a bench warmer with all the other needs for a win now team. We for once might have lucked out big time. No that wasn't it, My bad, it was the royalty thing, and the collusion with Godell's money hungry non royal nor loyal NFL. Time to move on to pre-season Jet fans....and watch the Giants get their asses whooped by the Rams, the Eagles, the Cowboys and other nor Royal teams. Cheers
What makes you think the Giants know what they're doing? Their last GM & HC were a shit show. Their meddling owner told the HC to bench Eli then when the fans revolted turned on the HC. The new GM was a nightmare in Car., the HC fired twice. They haven't had a decent draft in years. They passed on Darnold because they wanted Barkley and think Eli will get them by. Nothing about the Giants recent history says I blindly follow their moves closely. Who cares what another team thinks, especially one that went 3-13. While being handed every advantage by the NFL.
Ooooo, Giants hate, me likey. Meddling HC, and he would've gotten away with it if . . . Sorry, for a second there I thought I was watching 'Scooby Doo'.
“Sam Darnold huh? They wont like this one bit..” “They?” “The maras; The giants football people..THEY!”
another good day for clive. i have a feeling he beats out legget. i think herndon wins the starting job. timlinson is kept for blocking and clive as the 2nd recieving TE. I think legget will go on the PS though
I was thinking this same thing this morning while listening to the TOTJ podcast with Daryl Slater. Leggett can't compete if he can't play. The final TE spot could come down to Walford and Sterling, who apparently has been playing pretty well too.
Meanwhile from Ohio, mini QB oversleeping isn't a good look..... http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-netwo...ocks-Jackson-s-advice-to-Baker-get-in-earlier
Really the only red flag I had about Tanner Lee was you calling him "the best QB prospect in this draft" ...and that's why Jacksonville was smart to quickly snap him up him with the #203 pick.... .
Well oversleeping maybe a bit harsh, starting at 5am to train is certainly very harsh, what time you up then 4am 3am depending on how far travel is ? That is a ridiculous assertion from the coach, burn out awaits, what time does he want them training, 5am until 5pm with a couple of light lunches in between lol Fuck I have to get up at 4:50am every damned day and it is shit.
It sounds crazy but you always hear about the best QBs being the first one in the building & the last to leave. Its not only a commitment to the player’s own self.it sets a standard for the entire rest of the team.
Either PS or they might go for IR if he is injured so no one can take him off PS and they will give him another shot later in the season or next year. Another name to watch is Sterling. I have heard that Herndon is a pretty good blocker. If that's the case then I would go herndon, Clive, Sterling.
If I had to pick today, it would be Sterling for the third spot. Leggett has done literally nothing to date, as he hasn't been out there. It's still early though. Hopefully someone steps up and makes a compelling case for their spot on the TE depth chart.
Legget needs to get out on the field yesterday.Every other TE w the exception of Tomlinson whos more of a blocker, has made a number of receptions Between this guy & Peake think ive soured on these soft Clemson guys for alittle while..course Tajh Boyd already had me pretty skeptical
