Me I have not bought NYJ gear in years as a protest of the garbage that the owners have put on the field the last years. The ownership should consider refunding monies to all NYJ fans as a sop to them to say that they are sorry for the garbage teams they have fielded
That's fine, that's you're decision. But plenty of fans like a player, maybe like an Adams and want his jersey. I'll bet Sunday's we'll see plenty of Darnold jerseys. Even after back to back 5 win seasons. That's what being a fan,of a team is all about. Not a contract that money should only go to a team if they win. That you've been made some king of promised to reach a win total thats acceptable to you. I've paid my season ticket bill for 40 years. No matter how bad some seasons have turned out to be can find plenty of things during any season that made Sundays with my sons worth the cost IMO. And I've never felt like I was strong armed into buying my tickets or expected money back because the season didn't end the way I would have liked. But that's me.
I love Gang Green. New York Jets. Philadelphia Eagles. Green Bay Packers. Seattle Seahawks. I can't think of too many other NFL teams who sport an emphasis on the color Green. Maybe Miami and Jacksonville but those colors are more along the lines of Aqua (Dolphins) and Teal (Jaguars). Green & White is a very unique look and a very classy one at that. Raiders. Ravens. Steelers. Falcons. Saints. Panthers. Bengals. Lions. Jaguars. Buccaneers. Eagles. Cardinals. All of these teams now put a strong emphasis on the color black. Which makes me appreciate our simple green and white even more. The most unique teams are the Vikings. Only the Ravens sport purple outside of the Vikings. But that Minnesota Vikings purple & gold is very unique. I'd rather just stick to Green & White and hope for really nice design. If forced to change it up some, I've always wondered how a very dark Forrest Green & Gold would look on our Jets.... I'd imagine it'll remind me of the USF Bulls. I just love our classic Green & White and hopefully nothing extreme happens in regards to change.
Well I suggest you recap all the wasted money U have pissed away on the NYJs thru the 40 years U mentioned & think of the things U may have had if you did not give that money to the NYJs. Oh yes I was a STH from 65 to 17 which if my math is correct is more then 40 years right?
i dont think that the jets changing unis after 20 years is at all a money grab. i think that the pink breast cancer bullshit is a brilliant marketing move and money grab, but this is not. i dont purchase nfl jerseys, never really had the money to do it when i was a kid and never felt the need to idolize another man by wearing his jersey. just doesnt do anything for me.

Because if I thought it was wasted money, when I was spending it I'm smart enough to just stop buying them. That you had STs and think they were a waste is your problem. I buy a Porsche and someone thinks that's too much, it's just a car, good for them. So give yourself a star for having STs longer than me guess having had STs for the SB season gives you more reason to bitch. Sorry I'll never get people like you. What makes it "gay," the green pants? I don't want black at all but if the Jets' colors were green and black, I could live with these unis. I don't think they're bad or "gay" at all.
I'd actually like that snces it does emphasize on our white as well the socks, Nike sign, stripes and #/name outlign etc although I'd prefer more of a clean, classy, bright white rather than the darker version white.
The only year my money was not wasted was the 68 season when I was there when one of the best NYJ game ever was played vs Oak was played & after that game we jetted off to the SB out side of that game IMHO my money was wasted on a garbage team with shitty ownership & shittier coaches & players. Oh yes I also boycotted Hess gas & surely hope he is NOT RIP where ever he is

Personally, that's why I go fishing during the fall and early winter mostly on Sundays. Now that Darnold may be playing and/or the Jets MIGHT become relevant again, I'll have to shift that to Saturdays or just record it. Either way, following the Jets can be frustrating, but there is a difference between frustration and obsession with a team. Sometimes you have to walk away to put things in their proper prospective. Hating the team you follow just doesn't make any sense. Life is way too short for that sort of nonsense. You don't have to be a complete Homer to follow a team, but being a complete Hater is the polar opposite.
